This......FWIW, I'd normally see the keeper switch as a massive deal, but that's when it's with highly established players. Karius isn't, and we know what we have with Mig and it isn't going to improve.
Karius will hopefully take it on the chin and move on. Probably stay away from any interviews as well.

    In any case...

      Not very subtle Mancdermot.

Anyway, interesting decision. Hopefully Mig comes back the new Neuer.

        This one for Dan7.

De Gea got dropped twice and came back world class, yet another favourable comparison to our Loris

I'm all for taking him out of the firing line if it helps him. Danny Ward was no worse than either of the keepers we kept though. It's bizarre.

The good news is, Klopp hasn't allowed his public defence of the 'keeper to back him into a corner where he had to stubbornly keep picking Karius no matter what happened. No need to 'prove a point' with dickheads in the media.

as well as klopp has supported karius he has shown good man management by removing him from potential further flak.
it also makes the point that he will not stand by and accept second best /mediocrity.
it sends out a clear message to the rest of the lads.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

did the exact same thing to Mignolet & Moreno.

I like how he's stated he sees him as a long term prospect. Goes some way to removing pressure to perform right now.

I'd rather have a keeper who can save the odd shot than one who can kick it a long way. Ideally we get someone better than both in Jan.
Mignolet threw loads of points away for us last season

Are you forgetting Newcastle & Sunderland matches (thats just off the top of my head)

Not sure whether to put this here but

De Gea , Courtois and Cech are they ball playing keepers or great at stopping shots.

I want a keeper to foremost save shots and command his area and defence.

Maybe Karius can go on and do this for us long term , but I want it sorted now and if we can spend 35 million on Mane to complete the midfield attacking three why we don't do that for a keeper.

If we had sorted this problem out our great start to the season would see us competing with Chelsea for the title , that is how important a great keeper is to the team.

                                Who would you have signed??

I am not having a go at you but outside those 3 you have mentioned who else is a top quality keeper that we could have got??

                                Please dont say Joe Hart
