Yeah, I kind of said that here:-

I'll admit to being a lot more pessimistic about his prospects than you are. He looks a terrible buy just now - the difference between him and other top keepers that have been brought in is that they showed something in their first few weeks or months. A reaction save or a bowl out to start off an attack. Karius looks all wrong in his positioning, body language, one on ones, kicking, and as a result, confidence.

I hope we're bringing these posts up in a year when he's ousted Manuel Neuer from the Germany no 1 spot, but well....

He was voted just behind Neuer last year so clearly he has the tools. He just needs to translate it to this league and our club.
Will he? who knows but we certainly don't know he won't.

Spotted this compilation of his beat saves of 2015/16.

Doesn't look very good in it tbh. Maybe this vote is being given too much credence.

Based on a youtube vid! lolz. The vote doesn't matter, his form over there doesn't matter, our opinion doesn't matter. Klopp bought him, he's playing him and for all our sakes we have to hope the lad has the tools and capabilites to prove he was right to buy him. Time will tell.

I wasn't really being serious. We will indeed see how he progresses, I can't see him being dropped.

Perhaps we should try Milner in goal. He seems to do an amazing job where ever he plays
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Managers keep going foreign for keepers and expect them to settle quickly into their stride and I can't remember many who have managed it.

While I don't think Karius is not in De Gea's class think you need to give him some leeway for his bumpy start.

Plus think we are analysing every mistake of the last two games when we have scored plenty of goals again and let teams back into the game from our lacklustre defensive work as a team,

Lecter mentioned it the whole team has dropped in their intensity

                  You do or you don't?

As has been said, he looks like a £5m keeper because he is a £5m keeper. Whether we should have promoted a £5m keeper to the first team this season is a other story.

The problem as I see it the other keeper we have that we played what £12m for is equally as ****

Mignolet costs us quite a few points last season also (Newcastle and Sunderland games immediately spring to mind)

Not sure what his price has to do with anything.

If price is a guarantee of quality then Matip would be rubbish, Andy Carroll would have been world class, and Coutinho would be squad filler.

I just think that many people had unrealistic expectations when we signed him, and now are swinging just as far in the opposite direction after he did not live up to those expectations straight away.

I'm not in the slightest bit surprised at how he plays, given how he was in Germany, and I still stand by what I said about him earlier in the season in that he has many of the same flaws as Mignolet but that he has a higher ceiling imho and that Mignolet replacing him now would not be a step up.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He's not equally as **** tho is he. Mingolet makes some save but has poor everything else, whereas Kariis has been poor at everything but can kick it further than Mingolet.

I'd rather have a keeper who can save the odd shot than one who can kick it a long way. Ideally we get someone better than both in Jan.

Not really true is it? He made a **** load of saves v Watford, bailed us out at 0-0 v Sunderland and before the Bournemouth winner made a brilliant save, not much use if you are going to throw in a clanger in the last minute granted but it's not true he hasnt saved anything.

NOT anywhere near I meant to say :-)

Lovren looked ****ing terrible under Rogers but looks decent under Klopp

People are highlighting his every move now and that is getting ridiculous like he should of saved West Ham's 2nd when Matip was totally at fault for that.

Really struggling to think of good english keepers.....and even ones that have looked half decent like Butland and Foster do they have the distribution that Klopp wants?
