That's s bit daft mate. No one is asking anyone to shut up. I just think desire has clouded some people's logic. Afterall you're the ones suggesting karius would definitely start as number one, it's a bold statement when no evidence exists apart from hearsay. To say it with such conviction would normally require some concrete facts to back it up. Instead we have he gave the sodding Olympics a miss (was he due to play?), he was involved heavily in preseason yet mignolet was away with Belgium so had extended leave.Originally posted by RedReet View PostStop using logic to make predictions. We only deal with facts on here. Unless you can prove Karius was going to start, keep your mouth shut.
Anyway mignolet is going to **** up soon so we can all agree on that. This is based on his previous 3 seasons with us.

I was only messing about mate and was more in response to Kenneth stating the obvious by saying I was guessing. That’s what we all do on here, it’s all opinion, we read articles for facts.
As I said, I was expecting Mignolet to start against Arsenal, so had no great desire to be proven otherwise, but from the information I’ve absorbed since, I’m fairly confident I was wrong and Karius was in line to start. I don’t think it’s a bold statement, or one even relevant enough to try and back it up.
Unfortunately your final statement is hard to argue with.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

No one's saying anything with absolute conviction. Just highlighting that there were plenty of indications that Karius was going to start the season. Based on logic, not desire or hearsay.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostThat's s bit daft mate. No one is asking anyone to shut up. I just think desire has clouded some people's logic. We know Mig is no longer the automatic 1st keeper.
We know Karius has been brought in to be the No.1.
We know Karius was removed from Olympic selection, pre injury. Surely it's far more likely that was done with the intention of him playing, not to watch Mig from the sidelines..

not a lot to do defesively but he maraudes outside the box nicely, being available for the pass and able to sweep up that adds to the attack, he can ping the next pass, where as ming would 20 yards deeper and take 2 touches in which time the entire shape of the game has changed and the oppo are more organised to win it back

Interesting observation. I imagine from your new view point in the ground you'll get to see the bigger picture in terms of the tactical set up much more.Originally posted by Liverpool View Postnot a lot to do defesively but he maraudes outside the box nicely, being available for the pass and able to sweep up that adds to the attack, he can ping the next pass, where as ming would 20 yards deeper and take 2 touches in which time the entire shape of the game has changed and the oppo are more organised to win it backOh I don't know.

He is only 23.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostWe just need to have patience with him, Mignolet is no better. How old is Karius? I think he's only 21 or 22?
What I think will stand in his stead is the fact this is not his first time living in England as he spent a couple of seasons with Man City when in his late teens. Should make for a little bit less of a culture shock.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Exactly. We already know Mig isn't good enough so we have to change it, also no point in critiquing this fella after every game until he's had at least a season under him.
He might be better he might not, time will tell.

Karius is going through what De Gea did when he first came. Karius will either turn into our De Gea or just another **** goalie.Originally posted by G View Post

With Mig we don't have an either/or scenario. One tit for another.
