I can understand the first, he tried to get us moving too quickly and misjudged Benzema's closing speed.

I woke up with hangover and realisation we blew it, Karius wakes up this morning with the realisation that he cost us the European Cup. Never rated him before this game and now just want rid.

I'm still too annoyed to have sympathy for him.
As much as the second mistake sucks, as far as goalkeeping mistakes go that's a fairly common one. But that one basically made it game over. At one goal down we still had a chance if we could have rallied for the last 10 mins we might have had a chance.

the first one is like nothing i've ever seen.

Benzema was never far enough away for that throw to be on, so even the intent was wrong. Benzema wasn’t hidden he was stood right in front of Karius. If he’d taken a second and looked up he could have rolled the ball the other direction to Robertson who was unmarked.

I had in my head that the second error doesn't happen without the first, maybe giving him a bit of leeway because the first mistake affected his concentration and mindset, but even that seems generous now given we have seen him get away with similair before. He's ended his own Liverpool career in the most spectacular way. We all knew he wasn't up to standard really, so if anything good comes out of this, let's hope it's the irrefutable evidence that we need a new keeper to win trophies

I've been in Anfield when the whole ground has been screaming at him to move the ball out more quickly

Seriously? It's one of the worst mistakes I've ever seen.

And to make things worse he had an easy throw out to Robbo but hesitated and then went the other way.

Throwing the other way would still have been quick, it just also would have been sensible. Playing at speed and making smart decisions is pretty much what our game is about. Karius has definitely shown he doesn’t have what it takes.

I’ve never seen a goal like it. If someone did that in goal playing 5’s everyone would be thinking FFS.

He took a risk, it didn't work out. The second was worse.

I've already seen it too many times but I don't know the first one happens. The second one is fairly common as GK mistakes go but the first one should never happen.

He didn't check his surroundings, just eagerness and pure naivety. And stupidity too.

Risk?!! A simple pass out from the back, there should be no risk FFS. He cost us the game because of his stupid decisions and will have to live with that

If he had spied a defence splitting pass that didn't work out its one thing. Taking a risk to roll the ball to a teammate 25 yards from your own goal is idiotic
