I've rarely in my life wanted someone to bounce back in a blaze of blazing glory as I now do this lad. He's a 25 year old kid who's just starting out in the context of the position he plays and this sort of thing could ruin him. It's this sort of **** that leads to mental health issues,self esteem issues, depression etc etc. Those attacking him just need to **** off and focus on their own empty, **** pathetic lives. **** the internet and all those negative ****s who feel the need to pollute it.

Bollocks. He's still a Liverpool FC goalkeeker, Allison hasn't joined up with the squad yet and Mig is still on holiday. A couple of meaningless friendlies and and people are losing their ****, the overreaction ****ing stupid (not specifically aimed at you).

I think he means for Karius' own good. They're only friendlies, but the scrutiny has still been pretty intense.

Enrique or Mig weren't making BBC news for a pre-season warm up FFS. They also weren't getting jeered for every touch and ironically clapped every time they didn't mi**** a pass in nothing friendlies against relatively neutral fans. This is a whole new level to anything they received.

I fail to see how it could be better for Karius if Klopp picked some youth keepers ahead of him though, at the end of the day, it's pre-season, it doesn't matter and Alisson will take over when he comes in. These are practice games, so let Karius practice.

He will be our number two for the season, hopefully he'll get a slow season and he can leave next summer or try an usurp the new keeper.

absolute spot on! people are **** and it's obvious modern fans completely lost it. Of course there's a chance that anonymous trolls are doing their job, but nevertheless, it's even more pathetic if that's true. I think that Orwell was right, when he said that "sport is war minus the shooting".

Yeah, he needs to get back on the pitch and face the music at some point. Meaningless friendlies is as good a time as any. Plus he’s all we’ve got right now.

Yeah if he needs 'taking out of the firing line' in pre-season wtf happens come games that actually matter?! This sort of thing was inevitable, he needs to find a way to regain composure in the face of everyone else being ready to go nuts with every little mistake. His reaction to making errors is probably as important as how many he makes right now.

Probably not the tread or post to make this point, but I was surprised to read yesterday that Sterling got 18 goals and 17 assists last year. People will say, I could do that for City, blah, blah, blah, but that's 1/3 of their goals he contributed to. That's more than any other attacker in the PL, bar Salah, yet he didn't get a sniff of recognition at the end of the season. Since the world cup, people would have you believe he's lucky to be in the PL, never mind regarded as one of the best players.

Are Liverpool fans jeering him at the game? I mean, you're never going to fix abuse on social media because that's the nature of what it is so if Karius is finding that tough the only solution is to get him of twitter etc completely. I didn't realise Liverpool fans were abusing him at the match itself in numbers, that's completely off.
