Adrian is better than him obviously but I dont think he'd be the worst number 2 in the world. I cant be arsed with all this ****e around him though so best to move him on.

For a team that’s fighting for silverware on several fronts I’d say he would be the worst No2 in the world. We lost zero points with Adrian playing those first 10 or so matches for us & it gave us the momentum to start this run that we’re on. Do you honestly believe Karius could have done that?

Is he capable, sure. He had a really good 3 month period or so leading to the final. His issues are more mental than technical. Would send him to a lower-mid table team in Spain, Italy or Germany on loan then reassess the following season if we can't flog him off now. I do feel that he could be a decent player in the future, but probably not at Liverpool after that final and preseason.

You wouldn't begrudge Adrian wanting some first team football given his age if he wanted to leave at the end of next season.

I’m sure I read somewhere that Adrian was up for staying on as no 2.

Yeah, agree, Karius could do a job somewhere - but not in England. The pressure on him would be invariable after, let’s be honest, 2 of the most high profile errors in the history of the game.
          Modifying post.

Yeah he’ll never make it in England as all opposition fans would give him stick & ruin the poor guy. As Buzzo just said Adrian is reportedly happy to be our No2 so we should cut Karius free & post him any of his belongings that he’s left. He’d probably drop them anyway.

I'd be amazed if he comes back here and I imagine that he's not going to play in England again the pressure on him will be too great. We should try to get what we can for him this summer if there are no takers loan him out again
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yeah, just loan him out or get what we can.

Either that, or he stays as a No.3, and Lonergan's dream year comes to an end.

Thankfully he cost hardly nothing so it's no big loss financially to let him go

He's on something like 1.3mill a year for wages. Sadly hes going to be one of those players that will be here till his contract runs out. Ala Markovic, Clyne, etcetc. Over 2 and a half million over the next 2 years to sit around and do little.

By this observation we’ll have 11 men squads.

You don’t really believe squad members just sit around and do nothing surely?
                      Are we winning?

What you think Karius would be up to here if he was 3rd choice then?

FWIW I liked Karius, and find it hard to pile in on a guy who suffered a concussion in the biggest game of his life.

That said, he just isnt good enough to be 1st or 2nd Choice and gets paid too much to not even make the league cup bench.

So finding loans for him is a good option.

He woud have been good enough as our back up keeper but niw he is damaged goods.
His confidence is sht and the defence would have absolutely no confidence in him.
Yeh, the concussion in the cl final etc, but he has had some howlers in turkey too.
I wouldn't even let him into melwood, gardening leave until his agent can find him some underwear modelling work or sumfin.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Imagine the wonders that would do to our squad harmony.

Oh Loris. Yeah, I know a lot of you are mates with him. But hes banned from training.

You can be sure he wouldnt be playing for the first team. And at best he'd be second choice for the reserves since we're playing our younger keeper to improve him. So he'd be doing nothing. He has no future here.
