Southport, then Liverpool. Support both a lot. Whoever's playing away on a weekend, i'll go there.
Can you not see my logic with RE:CL situation?

I want us to finish top. If anything can really kick start our season it's a couple of good Champions League results against PSV and Galatassaray. Our players need to get out there and smash PSV to pieces and really start believing in themselves again.
Regarding who we can get in the next round, I would still rather come first.
Apart from Barca, any of the other second placed teams are beatable, especially, Lille, Roma, Benfica or Celtic.
Whereas if we finished second we would really struggle against Milan, Bayern or Lyon imo (can you imagine losing to a team managed by GH? Not even worth considering). Whereas the alternatives of Valencia or CSKA Moscow aren't that great either.
It's a no brainer for me, we must finish top of the group or else we're probably going to get knocked out in the next round.
I'd have taken us not qualifying this year so that a good European run can't mask our obvious deficiencies in the league. So as it is i'm not bothered as long as we get a stinking draw next round
Would you like us to get relagated to? then there will be definitely no hiding?
Like last year, yes. But then we all assumed that we could beat Benfica easily regardless. I don't think we'll be making that mistake again. In the last 16, there are no easy ties. We should take every advantage we can.
I'm never completely convinced that a home leg second is a big advantage, particularly for low scoring teams like ourselves. I guess it is a case of every little thing, but I really think that the list of possible opponents in the decisive factor.

It is a huge advantage when the kop are in full voice. Benfica was a blip but trust me, European sides sh!t themselves when they come to Anfield in full swing.
