I agree with most of this, however I would keep Lucas and Ibe as I think there is still time to develop (I would give him another year which may involve a 6 month loan somewhere to build confidence).Originally posted by The_weatherman View Post1. Martin Skrtel - 2 Years Left – 31 – Sell.
2. Mario Balotelli 2 Years Left- 25 – Sell.
3. Andre Wisdom - 23 - 3 Years left – Sell.
4. Tiago Ilori – 23 – 2 years left – Sell.
5. Tiexera – 23- End of Contract Release – Release.
6. Moreno – 23 3 years left on contract – Keep him as back up or sell for good price.
7. Ryan McLaughlin – Realise / Free - Release.
8. Adam Bogdan – Sell.
9. Benteke – Sell.
10. Samed Yesil – Release
11. Kolo Toure - Release.
12. Ibe - Sell.
13. Lucas - Sell.
14. Alberto - Sell.
15. Mignolet - If possible, doubt it though.
I'd listen to good offers for Allen, Henderson and Moreno. Klopp needs to be ruthless now, maybe this result will help him be that.
We don't have Europe so we don't need a huge squad, we have Ojo, Brannagan, Stewart, Smith and Chirivella in reserve and Markovic coming back. I'm livid at Moreno, but I'd consider keeping him as back up, he's only 23 years old.
I see the squad as likely being something like:
Keepers
Mignolet
Karius
Ward
Defenders
Clyne
Flanagan
Moreno
Gomez
Lovren
Sakho
Matip
New CB
New LB
Midfielders
Can
Henderson
Grujic
Milner
Allen
Stewart
New player
Attackers
Sturridge
Ings
Origi
Markovic
Coutinho
Firmino
Lallana
New player
That's 27 players, of which about 11 count as homegrown.
The thing with the homegrown players is that 8 have to count as homegrown, but 4 of those 8 have to be club trained and I think only Flanagan and Ward would count towards that. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

in a way it's good we can concentrate on the league, winning the EL as much as it would be great would disguise a lot of the problems this team has, i honestly don't care for a lot of our players if they stay or go and i trust klopp fully to keep the ones that are good enough. not even gonna try to name the ones i'd like to stay, i don't give a **** about most of them.
it's sad kinda as even a few years ago we had torres, gerrard, mach, xabi and carra, who were a great spine of the team and i ****ing loved every one of them.
now we have a bunch of overpaid tatooed pussiesJürgen Klopp

Sad isn't it. Said the same with my dad this morning...probably the first summer where I'm not really that arsed about losing anyone..in the past it's been mcmanaman, Owen, Gerrard almost going Chelsea, alonso, mascherano, Torres, Suarez etc etcOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostSad thing is that there is nobody that I would be gutted to see leave.
Summers where we've fought and scrambled to keep players in long drawn out transfer sagas
this summer I'm just not arsed. There is a fair few with plenty of potential and I couldn't see them going, Can/Origi etc
But if you like our 'star' players on paper would be coutinho, Sturridge and Henderson as captain......whilst I don't have anything against them, I really wouldn't be that bothered if we got good money for them
Not saying we should sell, just that I'm not worried about themi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

As I posted earlier, I'm not sure how much more losing this team can take, as they've all experienced cup final and title run in losses with us. That's why the argument to keep the bulk of them can be countered, because with a losing mentality, it is very difficult to overturn.Originally posted by cream View Post

With one game a week (depending on cup performances), an overhaul would give us more time on the training pitch, and for Klopp to keep the intensity up. The hard part is finding the players to come in.

Only ones I'd keep are Firmino, Can and Sturridge and Sturridge is at a push.
The rest I'd quite easily **** off.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

I've been saying for a few weeks I don't think there are many players who are safe (i.e. that we wouldn't sell if a good offer came in). And like you there are very few players I'd be bother about leaving. I don't want a huge turnover of players because too many changes is counter productive, there are alot of players in the squad at the moment that would be good squad players and ther are some decent first team players. IMO what we need are the big players who make a difference - these tend to be expensive so I would rather buy a few quality players that have to spread our budget over alot of players.
Also and perhaps the biggest thing is if our best players were to leave which clubs would be in for them? I don't see Barcelona or Real Madrid coming in for anyone, similarly I don't see one of the big money clubs (Man City or PSG) wanting anyone which IMO says alot.Last edited by Exiled_red; 19-05-16, 07:31 PM.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
