Can't believe people wouldn't be arsed if we let Origi go. He is going to be a beast next season.

We have a few decent players, but the main problem for me is that match winners are too few and far between, that they go missing far too frequently, either through injury (Sturridge) or missing on the pitch (Coutinho). This pair in my opinion are the two standout talents at the club.

The next level down you have the likes of Henderson, Firminho, Lallana and Can, and these guys also go missing on a far to regular basis.

At the back you have the likes of Sakho (who can be great one match and look like an imposter pretending to be a footballer the next), Moreno (braindead) and Skrtel....

      Behind them Mignolet...

Those not mentioned are players I'd say who are decent squad members, the types of players who play at their level consistently, not great but a necessity.

So I'd say its the so called cream of the squad that is the problem, and why this summer I'd be concentrating on replacing them, not perhaps the most obvious targets.

If you really think about it and keep things in perspective, had Klopp been appointed in June last year we could easily have attained an extra 10 points by having him at the helm all season with a pre season completed too.

Add no Europa distraction and there's another 8-10 points potentially.

That's with this group of players! 80 points possibly with this manager.

FSG not sacking Rodgers after the Stoke debacle cost us top 4 IMO and then being in the Europa too probably cost us a title challenge.

That's my view. Like or not.

Now looking forward to this summer, with Klopp bringing in some of his own type of players, I can really see us challenging for the title. There is still much to be positive about.

Redmike is right, too much hysteria here today.

Didn't you start this thread last time we lost nicey?

Last week all our players were worldies after all now Klopp had been given a chance to mentor them. What a difference a result makes.

Goalie Karius for 7 milion, Ming for back up

                    Right back, Clyne/Flano is fine

CB. Lovren Matip seems to be the first choice combo everyone wants but im uneasy throwing the lad into a new league as first choice, Skertl off, Kolo seems to be off but hopefully he stays, Sakho banned for the season no doubt. We could end up needing 2 players here

Left back - Hector 10 million, Moreno

Centre mid - I like all the current lads but as a collective they just arent good enough. Lucas/Allen possibly off. I'd like to see Lucas drop back into utility CB..

Can, Milner, Henderson/Grujic wont be winning a league .I'd like to see 1 top class CM brought in if we can uncover a Kante or pay top whack for someone. No idea who.

AM - Lallana, Firmino, Countino, we need to some pace and width desperately to give us options. Does Gotse give us that? I duno he played wide for Klopps Dortmund, but very similar to the above, at the price you buy him and worry about it later.

Sturridge, Origi, Ings is fine I reckon, Origis development means we could probably be fine, with Firminio also available to play up top.

Loads leaving and hopefully 6-7 first teamers in. Textbook Liverpool summer. With Klopp and his network I fancy him to get it right with 4-5 signings

It's easier to do it in terms of who you'd keep:

                      Lovren
                      Clyde
                      Gomez
                      Can
                      Henderson
                      Milner
                      Lallana
                      Firmino
                      Coutinho
                      Ings
                      Sturridge
                      Origi

I wouldn't be arsed if any of the others left for the right money...

As a player I'd keep Sakho. But I'm waiting until the truth comes out. If it turns out it was deliberate then I'd sack him on the spot. Cost us loads him doing that when we can't get anyone else in. Not to mention the negative publicity.

Pretty glad a lot of people on here aren't the manager, a lot of over reacting -'****ing off' someone like coutinho is crazy.

I don't think the squad needs an overhaul because:

                            1. Mass changes have not worked at all well in the past few years.

                            2. Id rather add 3-4 quality players than 6-7 of which 3 will be out the door next season anyway.

If the team had played 45 minutes of football better, I doubt as many would be calling for huge changes.

I think if you add two quality CMs, a left back and a striker to this squad it's good enough to make top 4 with klopp in charge.
                            Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

And a keeper and a winger. I don't think we need another striker.

Might just be meeja talk for now but I'm happy that we've started a flurry of activity early. Viva la Revolution!
