I think we'll see one of the biggest turnovers we've ever seen at Anfield in this window. Rightly so too, desperately need it.

I don't actually think that the squad of players that we have is that bad, if you look at the list of players I listed only Toure and Benteke have been getting near the team, once we clear out the deadwood I wouldn't expect more that 3 or 4 players who have been getting a decent amount of football to be moved on. I think the numbers (of players coming in and out) may look big but I don't see tehe squad being ripped apart completely.

this is something that we've struggled to do for years.

IMO the issue is that the core of the team needs to be addressed, which is quite a big deal.

Personally I would like to see us getting 2 CB's in. I also think we need pace and power, does seem like Klopp's tactics and setup hinge on that. I'm still reeling from our defeat, as I think it would have kick started something special at LFC. Now it's back to the drawing board and no champs league draw for top players, which will be an complete non starter for alot of top footballers.

Talent wise I agree, but they don't have the winning instinct. As a collective we are damaged goods, serial losers. Only way to get away from it is to disband the whole lot. You can't teach how not to be mentally weak it's just there. Hence certain teams always bottle it.

do agree with we are full of players that are mentally fragile. Need a few hard, nasty cunts in our setup

To be fair the performances of Lovren, Allen, Can, Kolo, Lallana, Origi & Clyne have improved since Klopp came in. Not sure about mentality though, we do need some more scrappers and fighters in the side IMO.. preferably talented ones too.

So, pacey, powerful, talented, tough scrappers. Should be well easy to find.

The lower leagues are full of scrappers & fighters but without skill it doesn't amount to much. We need talent & a desire to win in equal measure i think.

All would be strong, talented players (some pacey) who have shown themselves capable of meeting fire with fire when up against a scrapper. Now a few I just chucked in for the sake of it, but I think six or seven on that list would be in our range and there have to be plenty of other players that tick similar boxes that Klopp and his team will be aware of.

If we got three or four players with those qualities into our first team then they could drag the rest up to a certain mental level through force of personality and/or performance. We have seen first hand what happens to players when a hugely talented win at all costs worker like Suarez is put amongst them. Now the talent Suarez has cannot be easily replicated but put three or four talented players with a similar will to win into a starting XI and a similar effect could be gotten.


Matip could certainly be called a pacey (for a centre back) talented and strong player too.

I really hope Matip proves to be a good one. Could be a class DM IMO, hopefully can iron out his mistakes as a CB. Hector and Tah been linked and would be good signings alright, as mentioned as well Sule looks a promising one. Pogba & Laporte prob end up at either of the Spanish big boys. Laporte looks like a real rolls royce CB alright.

Schalke lads would certainly be interesting. Can't believe Battletoad is only 28, ****er looks in his 40's

Nainggolan would be perfect fit but it's going to be huge money isn't it.

Umtiti normally plays at centre back afaik. Think it is more a case of him being able to play in the LB role when Lyon need cover there rather than him being a dedicated left back.
