I can't see that working. All four of them like to do their work between the lines, and with Sturridge seemingly looking a bit leggy, we need players who can beat the defence. I still maintain that signing Gotze will relegate Firmino to the bench.

Yeah, not one of them is a winger.

I'm not going to get into the will he won't he sign for Gotze but hypothetically if he did sign then that front 4 is missing two things, pace and width.

So I think you'd drop either Coutinho or Firmino & get a pacy wide player on one of the flanks and Gotze could take the central slot or play as a wide inside forward.

These looks better to me but Sane will head off to Pep most likely.

They all play has inside forwards and our with comes from the fullback positions

I think our squad players are good enough, but its our supposedly top players that need replacing as they're simply too inconsistent. At least we'd get decent money back on them, and 3 hungry fresh top talents would spark new life into this side imo.

We need some of this season's starters to become next season's squaddies. For example Mignolet, Moreno, Lallana, Firmino and Milner

I would not be surprised to see Flanno go tbh.

I'd respectfully suggest they all would rather play centrally as a No10. Whilst they can do a job as inside forwards or wingers none of them are at their best or excel in either role out wide.

As Rafa might say, It's a collection of nice lampshades, but we need 2 legs for our table.

I'd have thought a 6 month loan would be on the cards for him to get regular football but the change in the rules have dashed the chance of that. I think he'll be here another season to see if he can get back to his pre injury levels but if a good offer came in you could be right.

Fair enough you are probably right .. but it is what it is .. and we could have 3 potentially world class number 10s at the club ... Coutinho is actually very good on the left, I thought Gotze played a lot of his career on the right and Firmino plays behind the striker were ever he's been including at Liverpool

I like the look of Klopps signings already
                      Loris Karius
                      Joel Matip
                      Marko Grujic

Add into the Mix Gomez and Ings plus the fact we could have pretty much 1 game a week all season ... I am excited about next season .. also if Origi gets and run in the Euros I think he will tear teams a new areshole .. he has the look of a player who is coming of age

Exactly what I was thinking. Finally, finally, get to see what Klopp is about with his signings regardless of other managers that have come into the PL. Henderson, Sturridge and Origi have barely played this season so the Euros is almost like a blessing to get them match sharp again.

Goalie and central midfield identified as key change-areas (Karius/Grujic). Left back and central defender required for immediate attention next, plus others that will also come in as well as come back from injuries (Ings/Gomez).
                        One tit for another.

Didn't know where else to stick this. Obviously it'll change a bit but I've left out those players who are not part of Klopp's plans for 2016/17 (*with a couple of exceptions) and underage players who featured on tour and those who are off on loan even if they are still at the club as I type.

                          L. Karius 23 years old
                          S. Mignolet 28 years old
                          A. Manninger 39 years old

                          J. Gomez 19 years old
                          A. Moreno 24 years old
                          J. Matip 25 years old
                          N. Clyne 25 years old
                          M. Sakho 26 years old
                          D. Lovren 27 years old
                          R. Klavan 30 years old

                          M. Grujić 20 years old
                          E. Can 22 years old
                          K. Stewart 22 years old
                          G. Wijnaldum 25 years old
                          J. Henderson 26 years old
                          Lucas Leiva 29 years old*
                          J. Milner 30 years old

                          L. Marković 22 years old*
                          Philippe Coutinho 24 years old
                          Roberto Firmino 24 years old
                          S. Mané 24 years old
                          A. Lallana 28 years old

                          D. Origi 21 years old
                          D. Ings 24 years old
                          D. Sturridge 26 years old

I'd say that was actually quite an attractive age profile for the squad - three goalies all with miles on the clock, the centre backs are experienced, only Moreno screams trouble. The midfield has a good blend of youth and experience, the AMs/wide men are just right with one young, three coming into their peak and one older while the strikers again look right - two younger energetic tyros and a experienced centre forward.

That's a shame. I was hoping to see a bit more of him this year.
