That's awesome. Genuinely happy to be interacting with a fan and give them a moment to remember when most would be pissed off at being interrupted.

I'm with the above guys, my fave ever. Suarez overtook him as a better player, but he wasn't ours long enough to overtake him in any other way.

It's effortless for Barnes, he was an amazing player. Reminds me of Maradona the way he used to just glide past players with ease.
My favorite ever LFC player. My brother sat next to him and his son at Anfield around 5 years ago, said he was such a lovely guy too, so normal.
Magnificent player who I loved watching, had pace, vision, talent and a top top fella

Also his strength and balance. I may have said this before, but John Barnes is the reason I support Liverpool. From an all Arsenal family.

Great player, one of my all time favourite LFC players
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Fowler was always my fave player. Barnes second, with the admission he was technically better.

Maybe it came down to timing. I was in secondary school in the 90s where football banter was at its worst, and was at the point where I was really getting into it as a passion.

Suarez was better than both. A ridiculous player.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

I was in secondary school when Barnes was at his peak, we signed him 5 days before my 10th birthday. He's my favorite, maybe it's a pattern

                Would agree on Suarez though.
