Well I predicted Brannagan and Ejaria, so I’m taking that as 2 out of 2, regardless of semantics.Originally posted by SB View Post1 out of 2 isn't it ? after reading that I'm thinking Kent may get the nod
Kent deserves his chance of pre-season form TBF, but they make a fair point about him remaining here if we're planning on sending him on loan.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Brannagan's on a senior contract
Ejaria defo deserves the trip to spend more time with Klopp & the gang.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Who was the lad who travelled to Toronto, scored but he left us & now can't find a club?
Leave the young lads at home to concentrate on the football...
Edit - Adam Morgan
Colwyn Bay
Morgan joined Northern Premier League Premier Division side Colwyn Bay in March 2016. His registration was cancelled in April 2016 after failing to turn up to a game. What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

There are a few others who have done well at big clubs but they are all sold for big fees - Alonso, Mascherano etc. You could argue Arbeloa as well.Originally posted by SB View PostIt's all down hill after us I'm afraid. Unless your the toothy one of course
Most of the players that came through our youth team(s) seem to struggle when they move elsewhere, I can't really think of many that have even gone on to establish themselves as PL players at other clubs. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Would Warnock be the most recent example of one who went on to be an established PL player for four or five seasons after leaving us? It is actually quite difficult to think of many over the past decade who have become PL regulars after leaving us.
I suppose Sterling will be an example of another in time and possibly Ibe.
But an awful lot of our very highly touted youngsters do seem to go nowhere of note once they leave despite various managers of ours being criticised at the time for letting them go.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yeah I know a few foreign youngsters went on to be regulars in Spain, Portugal and Italy, but I was thinking more of our, at the time highly rated, British talent and how they fared after leaving.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Palleta played for Milan, Barragan played for Valencia, Armin Hodzic at Dinamo Zagreb, Mikel San Jose at Athletic Bilbao, Daniel Ayala at Boro who are back in the Prem, Tom Ince despite his own best efforts still has a decent career!
Adam Hammill is practically a folk hero at Barnsley these days.
