I'm going along the thinking with redmike that we'll see Firmino start up front in this game. It depends on Origi's match fitness.
Having Firmino, Coutinho, Mane, and Lallana causing absolute mayhem for an hour, and then bring on Origi would be ideal. Arsenal will not sit back, so that will play into the hands of our attackers, and bringing Origi on at any point is not going to weaken us.

We will be fcking idiots if we don't use Origi's pace against whatever dodgy backline Arsenal put together. Specially for balls over the top of Arsenal's a decent functional midfield. Coupled with Mane there will be a lot concern for the defenders/midfielders to worry about attacking us.
Using Firmino 'up there' congests the midfield and basically plays into Arsenal's hands. They'll be a lot more relaxed and start taking us apart through the middle.
I would drop Coutinho and start Origi. Coutinho has not done enough to be picked on current form. One tit for another.

Your predictions are utterly dreadful so this gives me great confidence if Firmino does start up top!Originally posted by BigChief View PostWe will be fcking idiots if we don't use Origi's pace against whatever dodgy backline Arsenal put together. I know the result was good, but I was underwhelmed with Can and Wijnaldum on Saturday. Can seemed to be out of breath from the start and Wij-git spent the first half arriving for everything a bit late. Might he start with Stewart and Hendo?Originally posted by RedReet View PostI think 9 of our positions are nailed on, based on pre-season so far. Only possible changes from Barca team are CM and CF (and obviously Moreno for Milner)

I thought Wijnaldum was much better than his previous appearance and for me, Can always starts. No chance we'll see Stewart starting IMO.Originally posted by Paul12 View PostI know the result was good, but I was underwhelmed with Can and Wijnaldum on Saturday. does coutinho start this game? for me its a no gonna be an interesting year for him, our best player yet the combo of Mane/Firmino/Lallana bring more to the team for now. I'd have them 3 with Henderson, Can, Grujic. Back 5 picks itself. Origi and Coutinho isnt a bad outlet off the bench
No room for Ingsy it seems

Coutinho has done absolutely nothing end of last season or pre-season to warrant a starting position. Origi over him for me on current form.Originally posted by Liverpool View Postdoes coutinho start this game? for me its a no gonna be an interesting year for him, our best player yet the combo of Mane/Firmino/Lallana bring more to the team for now. Strong enough side and I think the only two positions that might differ from the actual are hendo/wijnaldum and firmino/origi. If it was up to me i would go with Henderson and origi. The others are nailed on to start this imo. I'd like to see Grujic come on at some stage along with sturridge if he's up for the cameo.Originally posted by redmike65 View PostI think we'll see a bit of extra insurance in midfield - Lallana effectively played as the one in a 2-1 against Barcelona and that proved effective providing a second high line of pressing behind Coutinho Firmino and Mane
-------------Mignolet
Clyne--Lovren(?)--Klavan---Moreno
---------Can--Hendo
----------Lallana
--Mane----Firmino---Coutinho
Man, Randall, Matip/Lovren, Stewart/Grujic, Wij, Origi, Ings
We need Divocks pace on the counter. He has been awesome whenever he's splayed in pre season too.Last edited by Corndog; 08-08-16, 10:01 PM.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!
