The Kolarov/Fernando CB pairing shouldn't have posed too many problems though. A high scoring Arsenal win was probably the most likely outcome.

I'm going along the thinking with redmike that we'll see Firmino start up front in this game. It depends on Origi's match fitness.

Having Firmino, Coutinho, Mane, and Lallana causing absolute mayhem for an hour, and then bring on Origi would be ideal. Arsenal will not sit back, so that will play into the hands of our attackers, and bringing Origi on at any point is not going to weaken us.

Firmino was a stand out in the game there last season so i reckon he'd start this time around with Origi off the bench.

Question marks in centre midfield and at the back although i hope both Klavan and Henderson get the nod there also.

I think 9 of our positions are nailed on, based on pre-season so far. Only possible changes from Barca team are CM and CF (and obviously Moreno for Milner)

I know the result was good, but I was underwhelmed with Can and Wijnaldum on Saturday. Can seemed to be out of breath from the start and Wij-git spent the first half arriving for everything a bit late. Might he start with Stewart and Hendo?

I thought Wijnaldum was much better than his previous appearance and for me, Can always starts. No chance we'll see Stewart starting IMO.

I think we'll see a bit of extra insurance in midfield - Lallana effectively played as the one in a 2-1 against Barcelona and that proved effective providing a second high line of pressing behind Coutinho Firmino and Mane

Strong enough side and I think the only two positions that might differ from the actual are hendo/wijnaldum and firmino/origi. If it was up to me i would go with Henderson and origi. The others are nailed on to start this imo. I'd like to see Grujic come on at some stage along with sturridge if he's up for the cameo.

We need Divocks pace on the counter. He has been awesome whenever he's splayed in pre season too.
