We definitely need to improve in that area. To be fair to our defence Arsenal are one of the best attacking teams in the PL. I think we were just unlucky with the deflection off Lovren for their second, there's not much our defence could have done once Oxlaide-Chamberlain was in our penalty area - the slightest contact and it would have been a penalty and maybe a sending off. My biggest criticism would be of Mignolet, he's just not good enough - hopefully when Karius is fit again we'll see less of Simon.

Although it does seem somehow plausible. It's certainly not the way Mourinho or Rafa would have behaved. I do worry that he is some how essentially unable to make a team settle or control a game.

Flip side is, I guess, that he seems more than able to give a motivational half time talk.

Game of two halves, first half slow and ineffective lucky to get an equaliser, good as it was, Coutinhio can hit a ball well.

Second half, Klopp adjusted it , had a word or two in the right ear, no panic just got some sense into them, 4-1.

Arsenal fight back, they are no mugs and we let them get back by a lack of cohesion, but we weathered the storm and should have had five

A truly great start to the season, started badly against top oppsition away from home and yet still win with some cracking goals

It's looking good.

The 20 when we scored 4 was very 13-14. We were absolute mustard. The rest of it wasn't great but early season at a tough ground where we have a terrible record. Have to be happy with that.

To give Albie a break from my consistent harrassing of him I'll say Clyne was poor for Ox's goal, had him on the weaker foot, showed him inside onto his stronger one. Doesn't happen often with him though.

Still though, we took the first step on the road to this seasons title and it will give us great confidence going into other tough games ahead, certainly confidence that we can outscore anyone if not keep them out at the back.
