Yeah bit ****ing late in the day signing a DM. A DM and LB should have been priority instead of the 50 attacking midfielders we have. These signings should have been done and dusted months ago.

Yeah echo most of the thoughts already said....trying hard to not get carried away being only two games in....but it's the fact we have not rectified the same issues from last season, the season before etc

Midfield is poor, we don't move the ball quickly enough from attack to defence, we lack pace (tho we have at least added Mane for this reason) we still need a left back which I agree with someone else, is a disgraceful position to be in, too have only 2 recognised senior full backs at the club and a utility midfielder as cover! We lack a real leader, out on the pitch organising, taking the game by the scruff of the neck, offering inspiration be it a good tackle, a strong run, a great pass or shot on target......we still haven't found anyone capable of taking set pieces....

We've got a reasonable squad, on their day some very good players, but sadly if you want to challenge in this league, you need to go and improve/find top class players who can influence games on a regular basis...

I felt we needed a GK, full back, CB, cm and pacy attacker during the summer as a bare minimum to move this team forward this year

I'm praying that karius will improve on mig, Matip can step up and improve the defence and we have seen mane already give us that much needed pace

But we just haven't addressed the two other areas and I'm just baffled that we haven't signed a left back
