We are in the position we probably expected to be in having won 1 and lost 1, however having won the harder of the 2 games you would have hoped that we would have been ahead of what we expected, the advantage over our predicted position that we expected after the Arsenal result has been lost, that might have been a better way to put it.

Having beaten Arsenal away we should have found ourselves in a better position than we currently are.

He means it shows that we are still a cup final team (i.e we treat those games as our cup finals) but when it comes to acting like a top 4 team ourselves we are now what we have been for a few years: inept.

Ergo the Arsenal result doesn't matter, we know what's coming. More of this Burnley stuff.
      One tit for another.

Bit of a mixed day for Andre Gray. Score your first goal against LFC and get exposed as a homophobic ******* all in one day.

                Exactly, we are about par.

We played far better and achieved an unexpected win away at Arsenal and we made a cunt of an away fixture with Burnley. How we respond against Spurs is key, but it's far to early to be getting our knickers in a twist.

Yup, nothing to be happy with from today's results.

Need to bounce back but far too early to be getting overly negative

Now your last paragraph doesn't make any sense.

I'm not sure if you've fully grasped how the league system works.
                    Oh I don't know.

We only ever look good in midfield when Can plays, so get him ****ing playing, he's our best midfielder and fighter/leader!! I absolutely detest Simon Mignolet with everything I've got, while he's not the main person to blame today it would be so nice to have a goalie that might actually make a great save now and then, you know bail us out and that, heck any sort of save would do, woeful and a ****house aswell!! Pain in the arse watching De Gea and others keep their teams in it every week whereas even if we defend well we still dont keep clean sheets as any shot on target is a goal. We have a goalkeeper that doesn't make saves, is scared of crosses and can't pass the ball. Karius can't come back soon enough. And Sakho. Still a good start if we go and beat Spurs, 6 from 9 having played 3 away including Arsenal and Spurs would be more than fine but it's hard to be optimistic after that. We are a killer for getting ya hopes up then blowing it.

Get Matip and Can playing v Burton. Our defensive record when Can doesn't play DM is woeful and good when he does, we look **** with "the specialist" Lucas there, **** with Henderson there, he has to play every game, if we **** around with central midfield it should be finding the right partner for him, nothing else!

And sign a ****ing left back!! It's actually disgraceful we're in a position where our best option there is apparently a right footed winger/midfielder and it's not even due to injuries or anything. What the ****? Even if Moreno was the best in the world we'd still need another option there so ****ing get one!! There might be slim pickings with full backs now but if we genuinely cant find one on the planet that would do a job people arent doing their jobs properly.

Annoying we wont be going the season unbeaten but sort the obvious problems out and we should still have the title won by early April.
                      Agree with that.

Klopp had a mare today. What the **** was that Henderson / Wijnaldum axis all about? Henderson is totally wasted in that deep role, and other than making good late runs into the box I have no idea what Wijnaldum is supposed to offer. Can has to be playing. Is he carrying a knock or something?

I've been a fan of Henderson for most of his time here but at the moment he doesn't look at all the same player since the injury.

Losing Mane and taking Moreno out took all the pace out of the side, what with Sturridge having lost his. And why was Sturridge wide right most of the time? So many bad calls from Jurgen today.

We're very easy to beat - why any team would do anything other than just sit deep and let us have the ball is a mystery. Attack us and we'll rip you to shreds, but sit back and we are clueless. Still, after all these years.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Central midfield needs sorting out as it's been terrible in the 2 games so far this season, and I must confess I am somewhat baffled by the signing of Wijnaldum and playing him in there, I don't think he's a bad player, he doesn't seem to be what we need in there.

I've said before, I think he's a stop-gap for a season, but next year, more clubs will be looking at Dahoud. That could prove problematic depending on how we do.

kloppo has changed his plan this summer. we dont play the 4231 we used last season, instead were using a 433 but i dont think we have the players to play that formation unless kloppo changes the way he uses players. if were going to continue to use the 433 then we need to think about what coutinho, firmino, wijnaldum and lallana are doing because their roles will have to change.

but that midfield of henderson, lallana and wijnaldum is weak as **** because two of those are attacking mids and the other is more box to box than a protector.

But he is more an attacking mid than a CM so surely there would have been more suitable options particularly if you are willing to pay £20m+. Again I don't necessarily think he is a bad player I just don't see where he fits and this was what frustrated me about our signings last summer.

I know he's more of an attacking midfielder, but given his descriptions of being able to arrive late into the box i.e. Lampard style, I expected him to be played as a CM, given our inability to sign one who can fit our style. £25million is a large outlay for a stop gap. Next season, I think we'll push him further forward. Since Klopp likes his box-to-box players, Wijnaldum seems to fit the notion of attacking space, and arriving late, while having the physical attributes to potentially track back too.
