No you're right, I shouldn't have posted it sorry mate I apologise which is why I went back and retracted it. Was just frustrated at the end.Originally posted by G View PostYou don't have to feel the way I do but you don't need to put up posts telling me I've changed my tune either when I haven't. If you have nothing against my view why bring it up? I can be annoyed and frustrated at an abject display while still having hope and faith that when the big picture plays out it will have ended well for us.
Sorry G lad.

Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

Losing to them is humiliating, they are and were absolutely dreadful which reflects even worse on us. Crap from the manager today. We only ever look good in midfield when Can plays, so get him ****ing playing, he's our best midfielder and fighter/leader!! I absolutely detest Simon Mignolet with everything I've got, while he's not the main person to blame today it would be so nice to have a goalie that might actually make a great save now and then, you know bail us out and that, heck any sort of save would do, woeful and a ****house aswell!! Pain in the arse watching De Gea and others keep their teams in it every week whereas even if we defend well we still dont keep clean sheets as any shot on target is a goal. We have a goalkeeper that doesn't make saves, is scared of crosses and can't pass the ball. Karius can't come back soon enough. And Sakho. Still a good start if we go and beat Spurs, 6 from 9 having played 3 away including Arsenal and Spurs would be more than fine but it's hard to be optimistic after that. We are a killer for getting ya hopes up then blowing it.
Get Matip and Can playing v Burton. Our defensive record when Can doesn't play DM is woeful and good when he does, we look **** with "the specialist" Lucas there, **** with Henderson there, he has to play every game, if we **** around with central midfield it should be finding the right partner for him, nothing else!
And sign a ****ing left back!! It's actually disgraceful we're in a position where our best option there is apparently a right footed winger/midfielder and it's not even due to injuries or anything. What the ****? Even if Moreno was the best in the world we'd still need another option there so ****ing get one!! There might be slim pickings with full backs now but if we genuinely cant find one on the planet that would do a job people arent doing their jobs properly.
Annoying we wont be going the season unbeaten but sort the obvious problems out and we should still have the title won by early April.

It's frustrating because it essentially means that the win away at Arsenal counts for nothing.
We essentially have the same team today we had last year (10 out of the first 11?) but a stronger squad, as people have mentioned to improve we need players who will improve the first team if we are to progress. Hopefully Karius, Matip and Grujic will do that in the not too distant future, but we still have areas of the side that need to be improvedThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

9 with the keeper to be replaced also.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostIt's frustrating because it essentially means that the win away at Arsenal counts for nothing.

But yes I agree with the point. That wasn't our first team today, at least three shy of it.

We've bought ourselves time with the Arsenal win which was unexpected. If we'd lost away at Arsenal and beaten Burnley in some respects everyone would probably have been happier!
If we can get a win or a draw with Spurs then either 6 or 4 points after 3 away games, 2 of which were against sides who finished in the top 3 last season is not a bad return.
What is annoying is that had we won today we'd have almost had a free hit against Spurs and could really of gone for it with confidence. When we can't win more than one game in a row we don't build form or confidence and will be up against it to get a performance next week.Modifying post.

The Arsenal game wasn't one we really expected to win, whereas most of us would have expected us to have beaten Burnley. After 2 games we might have expected to be on 3 or 4 points (Lose/Draw at Arsenal and beat Burnley) Having beaten Arsenal last week we had 2 or 3 points more than we might have expected, losing today wipes out those unexpected gains.Originally posted by dom9 View PostThat doesn't make any sense. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Three discreet points which have no bearing on the results of any other game.Oh I don't know.

It's difficult to remember, but this is - and will be - a season of transition. We have Wijnaldum and Klavan new to Klopp's tactics and both Lallana and Milner learning new roles. Unfortunately there is still an air of familiarity about it all.
As has already been pointed out, Klopp's main game is playing on the counter. Our plan b - or our game plan against congested, defensive teams - is still on the drawing board. The things you need against teams like Burnley are pace and width of which we had neither today. Coutinho and Sturridge both cut in and our fullbacks were not overly adventurous. Our physicality for their second was comical and no way should he have got through the first challenge never mind three. The gaps in our squad are covered in this very thread.
Sturridge is a quality player. Unfortunately, I just don't think he's suited to Klopp's system. We needed a striker causing their centre-backs an issue; Sturridge drifting wide or deep allows those centre-backs maintain their defensive line and is allowing them to not have to make decisions and concentrate on their own game.
Please buy a left back.
