It's **** at the minute, but it's extremely defeatist to believe that we can't get back to winning ways
I find it strange that all players aren't imbued with the same confidence to take chances in the last third. Didn't Klopp say this is what gegenpressing allowed? Where has that gone? Was muß, das muß.

It's like a bipolar convention in here. One minute up the next minute down. This is a horrendous month no doubt. If we win tuesday you will all be acting like you've been popping prozac again!
We had an incredible start to the season no doubt, let's hope we get back to that form sooner rather than later.

Has Klopp's innovative methods been masking fundamental problems in the squad?
Has recruitment been held because of this?
Are we looking at the good work he's been doing unravelling because of a frantic schedule of fixtures and a maelstrom of form loss and injury?
Is the squad performing at its real level now? (Note squad, not first 11)

I just think the combination of losing Coutinho, then Mane and a fairly large fixture pile up means we got exposed for having a thinner squad than we should have, and that the backup players are not what we thought we had even a year ago.
This phase will pass and we will be back up to speed in no time. Coutinho and Mane back in the side together makes me rock hard with anticipation.*Except Michael, who died.

This has been an awful month but progress isn't linear, setbacks are just part of the game and I reckon Klopp is learning alot about his team and the league these days. He'll get us back on track, we just have to be patient.
I was a bit worried about December and January because these months are well suited to the clubs with the bigger squads, our squad is not manned to play twice or thrice a week, it was a gamble but it could still payoff.
Not optimistic about Chelsea, but not pessimistic about the season.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

My main concern with the squad is the mental toughness of some of the players, I think the ability is there and has been shown up until Jan this season, losing both Mane and Coutinho has left players needing to perhaps contribute more and taking more responsibility on and I'm not sure some have managed to do this.
Anyway we've got a really good chance still to get ourselves back in the top 4 this season with one game a week let's hope we make the most of this.

When the others were in Europe it was when we built our lead over them so hopefully similar happens again.

Exactly, our squad is a bit too thin at the moment but with a limited number of games we should have enough to hopefully get the top 4 and then look to push on next season of which will need to be a busy window of in's but also moving some more on again.Originally posted by Chris View Post

Takes time to build a squad correctly especially not taking the lets throw as much money as possible at the problem.

This summer will be interesting, but I firmly believe Klopp will get the right players in, the reason he gets things right in the market is that he doesn't buy players just to get in more bodies.Originally posted by RichC View PostExactly, our squad is a bit too thin at the moment but with a limited number of games we should have enough to hopefully get the top 4 and then look to push on next season of which will need to be a busy window of in's but also moving some more on again.

We don't really have to move anyone on of those he brought in, maybe Klavan but that's not even certain.
We'll be able to move on players like Sturridge, Stewart, Sakho and Lucas who'll free up loads of wages, if we can get in three first teamers in their places and positions who will contribute to the team, we'll instantly be better off.
Get in two more to increase the squad size and I think we'll be in a great position to kick on.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

His signings are for the most part fine it's going to be the likes of Moreno and potentially the likes of Sturridge and Can that might need to be shipped out.
One thing that we do need to bring more of into the side is pace but I'm sure that's something Klopp and his team are far more aware of then me!
