Would have preferred to have seen him play, what with his lack of pace.

Sideshow Bob might be a disaster at times but he is quick for a centre back and pretty agile for the position.

No idea if Zouma is fit again for them, but would prefer if he were to miss the game as well.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Hopefully Luiz leaves some open spaces though, that's what we need, Mane will beat anyone in a footrace either way.
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

True, but Luiz would need less of a head start than the likes of Terry.

Then again if we start with the same attackers as in our last game, I will not be overly worried about anyone Chelsea can play in their back four.

Zouma will take a while to get fit, I think he did his cruciate earlier this year.

Yeah but Luiz will likely be making that start from halfway up the pitch. If he plays one of those games where he starts wandering then the gaps will be exploited.

this friday night lark is a real make or break of the weekend, if we win sound, but if we get beat, ruined before it began

It has been decided that I won't be watching this.

My wife is having a crappy week at work, and has decided that she wants to decide what we do Friday night, which is perfectly fine of course. I am 100% that watching Chelsea v Liverpool will not even be a consideration.
                    Oh I don't know.

this week for football on tv is pretty much unreal. Either Premier league, champions league, europa league or more Premier League......

If we are to get a good result away to Chelsea this Friday though, then it sets us up to have a nice little run. We play United at home in about 3 weeks and then we have about 10 games where I think we can win maybe 8 of them. Obviously Burnley away has proved that we have to win games on the pitch and not on paper - but you would have to fancy our chances of getting some serious points on the board having for the most part a free week to prepare for games.

Though I agree, and weirdly feel more confident we can get a result away at Chelsea than if we were say, away at Hull. Could be a good period to build momentum, particularly with the teams around us playing in Europe.

Expect Mourinho to be the first manager to point out that we are playing far fewer games!
                        Modifying post.

Sorry to hear your wife is having a hard week Dom but I think you'd pretty much made your own mind up that you weren't going to be watching.

It seems you're not enjoying football or following us too much at the moment and I'm unsure why but that's your decision.

Might be worth having a break from the game for a few weeks man see if makes you feel better.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I think what Slinky is trying to say is that you should leave the site immediately while maintaining what shred of dignity you have left.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
