I think klopp is going to manage Sturridge so that he comes into top top form right when Mane goes to the African Cup.......

I've been seriously blown away with our football this season. The improvement (game on game) has been exponential

Not sure if I've ever seen us play so well (appreciate it's easy to forget the Beardsley, Barnes, Aldridge season).

Klopp has been sensational since his arrival. Every club will want him.
        Another MASSIVE game

At times today I was thinking back to 87/88 with the golden trio of Barnes. Beardsley and Aldridge. And McMahon and Whelan ruling the middle. Specifically when we smashed Everton at Anfield.

          We're looking that good atm.
          Oh I don't know.

Roberto Firmino has scored five times and assisted three goals in his past seven league games for Liverpool.

Watford have conceded more goals today v Liverpool than they had in their past six PL games combined (5).

Adam Lallana has five league assists this season, with only Kevin de Bruyne providing more (6)
That has to be the best thing about this season. It's a real team effort, everyone is chipping in.

pretty sloppy for first 25 minutes, and switched off for 20 minutes after the fifth yet absolutely battered them this team has a very high ceiling and I dont think we have come close to seeing it yet we are top of the league, not punching above our weight, just about achieving it. 1 decent preseason, 11 games in. Top of the league and the easiest fixtures left for the remaining 27 of any the big teams.

Long term a few more additions and Klopps training, we have something special to enjoy in the years ahead.

6-1, and that probably flattened Watford. Watford, who are not fighting relegation, they are 8th in the League.
Watford who had just kept 3 clean sheets in a row!

We've also accrued more points than Barcelona have in 11 games with a tough fixture list.

The real difference compared to the 13-14 season is that we are mostly conceding inconsequential goals and when we concede the real goals that matter (2-1 against Chelsea and WBA), we see off the game relatively comfortably.

We seem to manage the defending part of it well. I'm not that worried about defense yet. 13-14 was shambolic because we were consistently shipping goals in the first half and then outscored teams but this is different.

9 goals conceded in the last 9 league games isn't that bad imo. The Arsenal and Burnley goals make our conceded/game look bad

the actual football on the pitch is nothing like 13/14 and the team is totally different, i'm sure the media will continue to peddle it though

I'm getting a little pissed off with this media myth about our defence. Like has been said take out the arsenal game and the Burnley blip and we are doing very well.

Unlike 13/14 we are now conceding a goal when the game is effectively over. 13/14 we were conceding goals in the first half and having to fight back to win. Totally different now and we have a great run until we face city.
