Best way not to win the league would be to include Gerrard in the starting 11 (even the match day squad). Redcafe and the like are just praying Klopp somehow loses his mind and does just that. Obviously he won't.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I disagree. I don't mind admitting that I'd love Gerrard to win a PL medal with us, can't see why any other supporter wouldn't. I wasn't suggesting that he would play a major part, just a part.

I'm not sure he disagrees with you. It's a romantic notion, but to win a medal you need to play something like a minimum of 10 games.

I don't think you could to be honest, the league is too competitive to allow sentimentality. Substitute places are too precious to allow someone in to play a few minutes for even five matches.

And what kind of message would that send to players like Grujic that would miss out on a squad place and a chance to stake a claim for a first XI place?
