Remember the Hibs GBH one and his furious pointing at his calf as justification to the ref? Might have been his debut that one

Yeah that was his debut.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostRemember the Hibs GBH one and his furious pointing at his calf as justification to the ref? Might have been his debut that one
He was absolute manna from heaven for the press up here wasn't he. Debut game as player manager away at Hibs gets sent off.
Here he is exiting the pitch along side his victim blood dripping from his knee.
Modifying post.

Doubt that stat is accurate. That would give us an average of 67.5 long balls per game, which having looked at our last 10 games, we only came close to once against Stoke (4-1) when we had 68. the average over those 10 games is 51.7.
Even at that, there is a big difference between a long pass and a hoof up to a target man. Bar from the keeper, we'd rarely hoof it up, hoping to win teh knock down. united use this a tactic, whereas we'd be hoofing only to relieve pressure.Last edited by RedReet; 17-01-17, 05:07 PM.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

yep -switching wings can be classified as a long pass - but its a precision one with a purpose - not a launch it towards "The Tower of Power*" or The human mop and hope for the best.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostI don't know about anyone else but when I think 'long ball' I think the hoof over the top rather than a 35 yard pass along the floor.
