I think we'll see Klopp giving Ojo, Wilson and Ejaria chances to develop over the next two or three years, unless they want to go, I'm not optimistic about their chances but Klopp is clearly patient about developing young talent. At the very least we will have a few million in the bank for them.
I do think Gomez, TAA and Woodburn have something about them and will be at least squad players for us if not first teamers later.
Stewart needs to go in the summer at least, for his own sake. But he's done remarkably well forging a career after being released from Spurs.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

The thing is if you discount the times he has to win the ball back because he has just given it away, then I am not sure he is even all that good at that.Originally posted by Rich View PostYep - agreed. Just don't see a player in Ejaria. Stewart is supremely limited although he's a talent for breaking up play and nicking the ball off toes. Ojo shows glimpses of ability but it's doubtful he'll break through here.
He seems like a good honest pro, who will 'do a job' in this kind of match, but long term with us its not going to happen.
The rest, who knows, the level we are looking for is so high and they have to fight against an incoming stream of multi-million pound signings with first team experience. So, the odds are heavily stacked against them, but you never know.
Gomez has probably been the best of them, with TAA showing well.
Ejaria impressed in pre-season, Woodburn looks to have real quality.
The rest probably need a miracle to even get much game time.Modifying post.

Fully agreeOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI know it's early and probably harsh (and foolish) to say so, but I have **** all to lose so **** it
....I don't think Ejaria will make it, nor will Ojo, and I think I'm better than Kevin Stewart. We turned down £6m for him last summer. If we get the same this summer we should snap their hands off after we've stopped laughing.
Gomez and Trent definitely have a future with us. Fantastic.
Kevin Stewart is no better than Jay Spearing
My mate said to me the other night that Ejaria was a poor mans Yaya Toure my reply was that he reminded me more of Djimi TraoreBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Ejaria is too slowOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostThe jury is out with Ejria, I think it would be interesting to see him in a strong team.
TAA was not far off MotM for me.
Woodburn good.
The rest showed glimpses.
Kev is Jay Spearing all over again. Macca picked up on it in the game, but when he tackles well it's normally after he has given the ball away himself. Hopefully we'll upgrade in the summer £6m would be a tremendous return.
He holds on to possession way too longBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I like Woodburn but he had a poor game yesterday. He played like a boy among men although that was down to Sturridge and Origi not giving him a sniff of the ball. TAA's positioning was so important yesterday, reminds me of Clyne. Didn't switch off once. Could have been a different story otherwise.
Glad that Wilson made an impact. Looked determined and not overawed, just as he should be. It was only Plymouth ffs.One tit for another.

Stewart is 23Originally posted by RoadEnd View PostIn fairness, these guys are learning their trade and it's not until they play competitive matches like this that they can kick on. I don't think U23 matches are enough. The first team have trouble breaking down teams that park the bus let alone our 16 and 17 years olds.
The problem for me with some of the players like Ejaria for instance is what he needs to become a footballer he will never get over time (ie more pace)
I know Shaggy wrote Ojo off but for me his pace might give him a chance of succeedingBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Hasn't Ojo just come back from a fairly lengthy injury? If so I feel it is a little harsh to judge him on his showings against Plymouth, I thought that he looked a promising young player last season if he can get back to that level and push on from there I think that he could have a future.
Gomez and TAA look like they have a future with us, Stewart is a decent player and if he was at that level at 19 or 20 then you may think he could improve, but at 23 you feel he probably needs to play regularly and the few minutes he gets for us aren't enough for him to develop, take a step down to the championship if necessary and build a career from there.
Ejaria, Woodburn and Wilson are young and have barely any first team experience so still have timeThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Agreed. It's harsh in general as the step up from U23s is huge in general. Stewart aside as he's 23 and terribly limited.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostHasn't Ojo just come back from a fairly lengthy injury? I've seen Ejaria have better games than last night over a year ago, but again opposition needs to be taken into account.
All the rest look promising IMO, i.e. Ojo, Woodburn and Wilson - who knows if they'll make it or not. That's up to them mostly.
