Clyne is diabolically **** with the ball. He's brainless. Which is criminal with the amount of ball he gets in our system.

Milners set pieces are crap. Might as well not even bother with them.

Can and Henderson in the same midfield just offers us nothing. They **** each others games up too much and its all sideways passing. Its one or the other with Gini and Lallana next to them.

Trying not to overreact, I do think we've had an unfortunate set of circumstances with crucial players being in & out with injury etc during a crazy run of fixtures which isn't giving us time to adjust. I don't even think our squad is all that light, it certainly wasn't in the autumn, but today aside from some poor individual performances we really lacked aggressive pace in wide attacking areas and our central defence without Matip is pretty suspect.

I'd not have wanted or expected us to go crazy in the transfer market this window but it does feel like even just one clever reinforcement right now could hep us out quite a lot.

I think that's a bit harsh as his point is presumably that the individuals aren't doing what they are trained/supposed to.

To implement the absolute best of what Klopp wants to do with a team I think it has become evident this season that we just need slightly higher quality individuals in the longer term who make less mistakes / pull off great things in the critical situations. Statistically we're a much better team at not conceding chances than we are goals which makes me think the problem ultimately comes down more to players than systems.

If we had a top class keeper, and a real quality partner for Matip, I think that would go a good way for us really seeing a defensive improvement.

Klopp signed Karius,so he doesn't and i'm sure he's said GK isn't an issue + gave Mignolet a new 5 year contract as for a decent cb,he seems to want to persist with the current players,he knew the problems in defence and gk and has not addressed them tbh

When we came into the season we had 21 'senior' players plus kids which seems like a decent amount considering no international football. Looking at just the outfield players we have 19. Long term injuries have effectively taken Ings and Grujic out of that, there is the situation with Sakho meaning that he isn't included, and early on we learned that aside from the last 10-15mins and cup games Lucas and Moreno aren't getting much game time, which puts us down to 10 starters from the remaining 14, with a high pressing game players are going to tire and a couple of injuries and Mane being away from a month around our busiest time of the season and you can see why we are struggling.

I'd not have wanted or expected us to go crazy in the transfer market this window but it does feel like even just one clever reinforcement right now could hep us out quite a lot.
