I agree. Passing it side to side to back, and then a slip or miscontrol of the ball and the opposition are straight on you.

I was willing them to go direct today. That said - Origi didn't look up to the physicality of it, neither did Firmino.

      WTF

It's all the fans fault isn't it. They must be stopping the players passing the ball quickly and pressing

But our slow passing is due to a lack of confidence. Players look to be afraid of losing the ball.
        Are we winning?

          ejaria looks slow and lightweight.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

The answer is patience. Let Klopp build this team up and things will get better. It's frustrating but it's not easy to get where we want to be.
If you see talent there then I am going to write off the lot of them

              It really isn't

It had crept into our play even when we were getting results

Of course not but it doesn't help FFS.

The pressing has been a bit of a moot point because teams have been giving us the ball lately. Only time when we were not good at it was a period in the second half against United, when they completely dominated the game for 20 minutes and we couldn't get near them.

Well, at his age he's not going to be the finished article. Same applies to Woodburn and Gomez.

                    You're talking ****e now.

                    But you really are.

I don't think we're seeing things differently. Our passing hasn't been good enough and I think it's down to confidence. We are taking less risks which explains the slow build up.

Also, we aren't switched on at the start of games.

Fredo, spot on. I think its confidence and a lack of belief. Its like they don't trust the front players to do anything so turn round and recycle possession rather than take a risk.

We don't have that width without Mane. We used to stretch teams because he could make runs out wide. Now it's all focused in the middle and if it's not quick or precise enough, we lose the ball and everyone is out of position, especially that the full backs are trying to provide the width.

I think we'll see us buy a couple of wide forwards in the summer, which bring us that balance in midfield. It's probably the main reason Klopp isn't panicking in this transfer window as he wants the right player in.

We don't have the ball 100% of the time so you have to press at some time in a match. We haven't ANYWHERE near enough I am sorry but we haven't

It's very reminiscent of last 18 months of Brendan in and out of possession

Tempo is all off from the get go

Both in and out of possession

Pressing isn't about confidence and the tempo just isn't there

Surely a bit of progress under a good manager is the least we can expect. He's utterly useless.
                              he's absolutely dreadful. Shocking player.

Our width cones from fullback positions. I think we can have width now but we aren't moving the ball quickly enough into those areas. Look at the goals we have scored going back to Sunderland and Stoke till now most came from getting the ball into wide areas to create the chance

We need more pace and a holding player
