We've got width. The team refuse to pass it to the players that are wide and open, preferring to keep going through the middle like brainless drones. If it is a question of confidence and the lack of it makes them turn into gutless sideways passing slackers, then we need new players. Losing confidence when you're 2nd on the table is as pathetic as it comes.

We sometimes wonder what they do in training. I think I've figured it out. They play against themselves with the tactics given. Our players are borderline **** when it comes to defending, and thats being kind. So if it works in training we must think it'll work in real games. And if thats the case, EVERYTHING works in training then.

I think it said it all at the end of the first half with a couple minutes to go. They just kept passing it sideways more slower than they did the entire game, zero urgency or care, while the entire crowd screamed at them. Theres zero excuse for them. Find another team if you dont want to play for this one.

We have the ball 80% of the time, which is way more than most teams have in a game. If we have the ball all that time, it means that we're doing okay getting the ball back.

Tempo is a problem yes but is a result of mentality or confidence. More so the latter. Not because we have 'all gone Brendan'. It creeps into your play because of the factors I mention.

Then again, you can't press all games so having the ball and slowing it down does help. It's about balance. I'm not really concerned to be honest. It's a **** period but we'll be back.

Disagree, confidence is such a kop out.

Brendans football is too slow and we don't press. It's just lack of confidence - nope

Benteke is **** and never in the box. It's just lack of confidence and us not playing to his strengths - nope he's still ****

We arent pressing and we are too slow in possession. It'd just lack of confidence - nope we lack tempo and just aren't pressing

We've gone Brendan because 90% of the players where bought by him. It's their default position is to play this way
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

The same team with the same players played on the front foot all season, at the same time having loads of possession. Why would the default to something which has gone 16 months ago?

Klopp likes to play possession football and the noticeable improvement since the start of the season has been our better control of the ball, compared to last year where it was a bit too gung ho at times (we were much more of a counter attacking team then). We're doing the same things as we did since the start of the season, but aren't sharp enough in and around the box anymore.

3rd time in a week that I've driven up the M6 car park from south of Birmingham.

At least I think so, because I'm pretty sure I've just watched the same game 3 times

I think we'll see us buy a couple of wide forwards in the summer, which bring us that balance in midfield. It's probably the main reason Klopp isn't panicking in this transfer window as he wants the right player in.
And if we don't buy the players we need in the summer then what? Wait until the following summer all because Klopp feels January is a difficult month to sign players? I honestly feel Klopp has underestimated the demands of the season. The frustrating thing for me is our best eleven is right up there but beyond that, the drop off in quality is worrying. I really feel we should have pushed the boat to sign a couple of players this window to freshen things up. If it means paying over the odds so be it. Our squad is paper thin and I don't necessarily feel we will address all our problems in the summer hence we should have gone all out and done some business this window. 6 players signed and 15 players have left in 3 windows under Klopp which is mental.

How many of the top teams have bought players this January? None.

I don't think Klopp likes huge squads, much like Mourinho for instance. He prefers a tightly knit group of players, lower in numbers. We've got a good group of 14-15 players. We just need to add two or three on top of that next season and players of the required quality. Of all the ones that he's brought in over the summer, all of them have done okay.

                        Klaven hasn't worked out.

But that's OK you're going to get the odd transfer that doesn't work I reckon if you can maintain a 50% hit rate you're doing OK.

And Mourinho has always had a big squad with a bench of 20m+ players.

Frustration was boiling over in the stadium this afternoon. Altercation and nearly a fight in the corporate section of the Main stand just to the right of the Director's area.

Someone in the lower main stand shouted something at Klopp with about 10 minutes left - didn't hear but it was enough for Klopp to turn round and ask them to repeat it.

A bench of £20m players with dubious quality doesn't mean you have a strong squad. How many of United's current bench would get into ours? None.

It's about getting the right players and also the balance to give young players a chance. I think that is Klopp's philosophy.

What's that got to do with our lack of depth? For a start those clubs already have stronger squads than ours and only a fool would disagree.

Were you saying that at the start of the season?
