What is the convention for when referees should blow the whistle for these types of freekick, Mignolet clearly wasn't ready, the ref blows the whistle when Mignolet is standing next to the post - which you don't see very often, usually the ref waits until the defending team is ready.

That said there is a decent few seconds between the whistle and the freekick being taken so Mignolet should have sorted himself out.

Over November/December when we had the ball going forward there were options everywhere, with 4 or 5 players in the box especially.
