Very much so. It's not a simple binary reasoning about having the players or not having the players, we are playing poorly, and more worryingly, not altering our tactics or approach to teams of limited resources.
We've now seen the result of playing severely weakened sides, and treating the cups arrogantly IMO. There's been no upside or signs of arresting the slump we've found ourselves in, and increasingly worrying, stubborn signs from the bench.
Worst of all, our opposition knows we're not changing it up and are factoring that in, and in some recent cases, actually controlling the game with 30% of the ball.
We're continually banging our head against the same bloodied mark on the wall.
