Those teams in the early games hadn't figured out the formula.

Once the code was cracked, everybody followed suit. And it worked. And I wager that it will still work when we play the rest of the **** teams.

We should just remain patient, stay compact and not allow the other team a chance when this happens and keep on banging on the door. Also, to believe in our way of playing and pass the ball quicker between the lines. If you look at the two games we lost (Swansea and Hull), we were caught cold twice and let our guard off in both games. If you keep your cool and get a chance and score, the game changes and the other team need to come out. All that need changing is our focus and belief that we will eventually break teams down and not to allow them a foothold in the game. Second half was tighter yesterday but we remained focused defensively first and foremost because we didn't need to chase the game.

It's true that lesser teams sometimes are not bothered about winning their games against us and try to hold out for a draw from the outset.

yes they do, but then unfortunately lesser teams also feel like they only need 1 attack to score where as we have needed 20+ and still not scored.

So they naturally sit back, wait for that opportunity and hey presto, 1-nil to them, This must put added pressure on the front line to.

i am hoping with the pace of Mane added now, more space will open up and hopefully Coutinho and Firminho come back to form.

Just watching the highlights of this. Great result and performance by the look of it. Mane's pace and willingness to chase everything causes defences all kinds of problems. He constantly makes the kind of runs that our midfielders need to pass into. Very impressive.

Nigey is right though. The perceived weakness is us slipping into a lower tempo game when we play at the sort of speed we did yesterday most teams will struggle to cope the issue is being able to do that game after game.
