Just watched the replay & it wasn't pretty but it's 3 very valuable points. At least we found a way to win against a route 1 side who love to play long balls over the top.

They haven't won a game away all season.Originally posted by Fredo View PostNever got going as an attacking force and had to defend a lot today but we defended well. If you don't, Burnley usually punish you. Came from a goal down as well and good to see Can having a good game and taking responsibility, especially second half.
*Except Michael, who died.

Poor performance but a really important 3 points.
If we'd have dropped points today I think 4th would have been pretty much finished, even though we'd have still been in the mix.
At this stage of the season points on the board are better than games in hand in my opinion, Arsenal have Southampton away as one of their games in hand and United have City.Vive la France

Really? Neither of our goals was from long balls over the top. No doubt we are a great counter attacking side but there's more to us than that.Originally posted by foresterbloke View Post"At least we found a way to win against a route 1 side who love to play long balls over the top."
You just described our game plan

Massive 3 points. Lose/draw that, every chance we lose to City next week and go into the international break outside the top 4 and in poor form.
Grind out a result against City now and we have a few weeks to get a few more players fit before the derby and hopefully can kick on from there. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

A win against City would really put some pressure on the others around us.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
