Getting back on topic, I hope the lads are full of confidence. Got a horrible feeling we might bottle it. As said, an early goal would work a treat. Reckon Couts will start deeper again. 2 gams in a row for Studge? Transfer window must be nearly open..
      Really?

Sure, but the significance of Hillsborough didn't really hit me as a kid at the time.

i was really confident sunday -

          pretty confident Monday -

          confident Tuesday

          assured Wednesday

starting to **** my pants today!!!

god knows what i'll be like come sunday! A few of us are heading over early to have a few beers which I really hope settle my nerves! usually what happens is I get so nervous I smash about 6 pints in and end up completely pissed

We seem to have really nervy fans and a really nervy team - the more team struggle, the more on edge the fans get, making the team more nervous and so on

that's why we need an early goal - come out flying, like we did the first 6 months of the season, just blow teams away - get an early goal and the atmosphere will be bouncing/the players fired up and then hopefully they lose interest and fold.

for me as I think I've already said - team has to be the same starting XI as west ham. i'd maybe consider firminho up top alongside Sturridge but we need to play the same shape/formation with coutinho a bit deeper and two up top
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I don't think the players lack confidence, if anything it might be the opposite after that West Ham result. This may or may not be a good thing as Lecter has discussed before, the confidence and fact we're playing an already supposedly zombie team results in us taking extra touches, trying more shimmies than necessary thus reluctance to releasing the ball at the right times, etc.

we found our way into a small pub in a village [possibly athlone?] that was really someones back room with a telly in it.

it was in the area, maybe not quite in downtown Athlone central

it could have been lanesborough, or shannonbridge? somewhere along the shannon.

                  Yep

I was there the Arsenal game and I cant remember the hurt of that defeat staying with me long

Probably because we were all still thinking about Hillsborough

Yeah I get that, I was 13 at the time. Liverpool was a sad place to be, especially when your family was hit by it hard.

Anyway, let's hope we smash these Sunday so we can get excited about potential transfers!

If it had running water and electricity then it was probably not Athlone in the 1980s
