I think being done up for pace early on put some doubt in his mind and he did a few things he wouldn't normally do. But he recovered and was never troubled defensively, which is a sign of an excellent player.

Another solid display I thought, perhaps tainted for some because he didn't have the eye catching crosses.

I definitely thought he was a shrewd signing. He is always great fpr the national team. I didn't think he'd be tearing it up to this level, with MotM performances v City and Everton.
