Think a lot comes down to what level he gets judged at.
It's a bit like with Mane in a way. He puts up the sort of numbers that almost every top LB in every top league would dream of getting, but when he "only" performs to the level of a good left back we think he is sub par.
Says a lot about how high his set standards actually are though when decent to good performances are usually (though not always) what passes as bad performances by him.
The joys of being a world class player, when you put in anything other than an amazing performace it looks like you are underperforming.
Would still rotate him out a little bit with Tsimikas to keep him fresher at times, but damn if he is not yet another player we should be thankful to have in our team.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

That's the thing, he's on course to beak every record he's set for assists, clean sheets and even goals. Even those player ratings, as flawed as they may be are scoring him highly, so on paper he is having the season of his life and in the form of his life.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostThink a lot comes down to what level he gets judged at.

Would be curious to hear what he thinks himself of his current form.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I read his book from the title winning season. I think this probably counts for a lot of our guys, but he is explicit in saying he is driven by a fear of not being good enough, that self accountability is ever present. That rejection as a kid at Celtic was defining for him and it means he will never rest.
I suspect, no matter what he delivers this season he will only be looking at the areas where he can improve, and I think that is why we (and he) are (is) so good right now.
In my opinion he suffered a slight dip in form after the autumn international break, where he put a lot into the Scotland matches Other than that he has been brilliant pretty much all season. Same as Trent he will have the odd, 6/10, but mainly he is an 8/10 (or higher) performer.Modifying post.

Very fair and balanced especially after such a rollercoaster of an afternoon. I have no doubts with the likes of him, Hendo, Millie and Trent, the lads will be absolutely fired up and ready to go on Saturday for glory.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostGood interview with Robbo.

They have a resilience I've never witnessed in 40 years watching the mighty reds... and that all comes from Jurgen and his team. The build up this week will be immense and come Saturday at 8pm, the red machine (and travelling fans) will be roaring like lions...
