I wish Robbo would be more composed when he gets a shooting chance. He always seems to panic and blast it over. Its a shame really because he regularly gets chances and all other elements of his game are immense.

And it’s what probably doesn’t put him in an all time 11 ahead of Neal, Nicol etc. He has such good technique that it baffles me how **** his shooting is

Not comparing the two but Nicol was a good player he won Football Writers Player of the year in a team that contained the likes of Barnes, Beardsley, Rush and Aldridge. Obviously it's a different game now, but Nicol was a quality player in a very good LFC side.

For sure, he was a great player in his era but there’s not a chance he’d play fullback for a top side in todays game.

Depends on how you pick the team I suppose but robbo would have been a great player in both eras whereas I don’t believe the reverse is true.

In any case, Nicol definitely seemed a better player than he does a pundit. I see he’s come out again saying he doesn’t see where Gakpo will fit in and it reminds of the time he said the same of Salah, that he didn’t see him getting a start over lallana
