Yeah bizarre looking to a guy who you've pushed out and who might be off to another club because the new guy once again has lost the plot. It's bonkers, we're a joke.

Can you explain what you mean by 'lost the plot'? Hanging this performance on Kerkez is bizarre tbh. Didn't see him do a lot wrong out there. He wasn't great going forward, but none of the side was, plus he had Gakpo back ignoring him. No surprise to see he couldn't get involved when the blackhole came back into the side.

Blaming the second goal on him is harsh too. Every LB in world football is going to struggle there unless they're Usain Bolt quick. He had a paddock to run into and there was a gaping hole through defence to play a throughball (because our dickhead of a manager didnt make a sub for 8 minutes) Virg also played him onside too, if he'd stepped up as he should then there's no issues.

I was very surprised to see that he got the hook. But then, not really, because this is Slot we're talking about and he loves nothing more than making young players the scapegoat for his **** tactics not working...

Slot is a disaster & his system is clearly ****ing with alot of players but if we are being fair, you also can't hang individual mistakes on Slot. Kerkez was ball watching and doesn't see the runner until it's too late, he has shown some improvement in recent games and has played a lot of football but he is 100% at fault for that goal. Not starting/rotating in your back up LB during a hard run of games because he might be leaving in a few days & then having to call on him when things have gone tits up, now that's a bit bizarre. Slots nonsense about he was in the "red zone" is because he doesn't trust his squad & has played him too much.

Slot was shouting at the players to kick out out for a throw in. VVD had the ball twice whilst Slot was shouting for it to be kicked out and VVD kept reccyling the ball.

Bollocks to blaming Slot for that one when he was calling for the ball to be put out. That's on the players for being so braindead.

When the club captain makes public that he wants Robertson to stay, I think that shows the unrest amongst the established players. There's a strong core that are close. They've been through a lot. The way Elliott was treated last term won't of gone unnoticed either.

I agree, but maybe that needs breaking because it's not doing us much good this season. Who is the 'leadership group now, Salah, Virgil, Alisson and Robbo? None of them are having good seasons, in fact, quite the opposite for most of them. Maybe the leadership group is part of the problem

Maybe you're right. Means it could be a huge summer outlay again. We need to replace Virgil, Robertson, Konate, Salah, Gakpo and beef the squad out. Not gonna happen. We're ****ed.

Yeah was ridiculous but not entirely on Slot, Virgil didn't put it out of play. You could clearly see Slot gesturing for him to do exactly that but then again we weren't exactly functional and ready to rockin roll on the bench either. Lack or urgency and disfunction off the pitch and lack of urgency and disfunction on the pitch.

Yup maybe the old guard are the clique. All well and good when the clique is performing well, not so much when they aren't but still have power in and out of the dressing room.

VVD was even asked about it after the game why he did not put the ball out of play, and he came out and said he kept the play going because he felt we were in control.

Peterbread put a video up in the match thread showing Slot calling for the ball to go out of play and the players just keeping it in play.

There are things we could ask questions of Slot over, plenty of them, but the six or seven minutes to make a sub is not on him. The ball did not go out of play. Now had the ball gone out of play and we did not get a sub on, then that would have been on Slot.


Either our players wanted to ignore the manager when we were down to ten men or our players were too thick or arrogant to kick it out when we were down to ten. Regardless questions need to be asked of the senior ones for them causing us to concede a goal.
