Sorry for starting the puns.
Not sure how close Kent and Woodburn are to contention. Klopp definitely seems to be in pre-season confidence building mode, (I'm talking about you too Alberto)
Nothing wrong with that - he's a good coach and motivator. Just not putting Kent or Woodburn into my fantasy team anytime soon

Klopp has said he wants there to be opportunities for the young players. I do too but want a top squad, you can't have both. If you have a squad like city or Chelsea, the young players don't get an opportunity. I guess we just need our s to step up to the plate and be great!Originally posted by Daffy Duck View Posthttps://www.twitter.com/_ChrisBascom...12901165219841
I'm guessing Grujic, Gomez and TAA were already considered that.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

Which they won't be. At least not consistently. I don't think we have a particularly great crop if youngsters this year compared to previous. It's just wishful thinking. Solanke could get a few and build some confidence, he seems stronger than his age suggests but you wouldn't wavy to rely on him in a big game if we have a few injuries.Last edited by Kenneth; 07-08-17, 12:14 AM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

How will you know until you play him in a big game?Originally posted by Kenneth View PostWhich they won't be. At least not consistently. You can. Or we can. They aren't mutually exclusive.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostKlopp has said he wants there to be opportunities for the young players. Klopp is a renowned tough trainer
We regularly out work/out run opposition teams
We've an injury prone squad (e.g. Henderson has missed 47 games in the last two seasons, and not all foot injuries)
We had a thin squad last year without extra fixtures
You could add three players to the squad and youth would easily get a chance this year with a half decent rotation policy.

As would I at this stage. To be fair Solanke has surprised me. In him Woodburn and TAA we've a decent crop of kids there. I'm not sure the others are ready anytime soon though. Although I reckon we might at least give Kent some time this season as well if we don't make an attacking signing.Originally posted by baitman View Posti think id sooner rely on solanke than origi.

He deserves a chance with the preseason he's had! Had 3 goals and 2 assists in the minutes he played, and had that been a big signing starting out like that we would be absolutly in frenzy by now.Originally posted by baitman View Posti think id sooner rely on solanke than origi.
Not saying he will rock the premier league, but I think he deserves a chance now. At least ahead of Origi.
