Man City's bench today includes toure, sane, sterling, and Bernardo silva. Those are the sort of players who, if we're blessed enough to have in the first place, we sell, before maybe getting in another few improvers with the right money ball stats for future resale - not, note, for actually winning, no, for selling - and hopefully all done with neutral net spend. There's a few weeks of window left to be proved wrong but so far FSG are like the wizard of Oz manipulating cogs and pulleys behind the curtain and sadly, klopp's shortcomings are becoming apparent after so many windows and no apparent consciousness of the massive wet kipper of a ****ty defence smacking him across the face week in and week out. It's an unholy alliance and I hope to God I'm proved wrong but on today's evidence, it looks like more of the same to come.

Until August 31, tick tock. Are we here to seriously attempt to win or are we just a ****ing investment portfolio being kept warm until maximum resale value has been reached?

I think the squad today showed that we are still very under strength, the first 11 was strong but looking through the bench I don't honestly think that any of the players on the bench could really claim that they deserve to be in the side, there is a distinct step down in quality. Ok we were missing about 4 players but if we are going to compete for the the title and go far in the Champions League we need a squad capable of that and IMO we don't have that.

We clearly missed Coutinho providing that spark in the midfield as good as Henderson, Can and Wijnaldum are the 3 of them in there are really lacking something a creativity, sticking Coutinho or Lallana in there makes a big change to the dynamic.

Attack wise I think we will score alot of goals, Mane and Salah, if we are able to keep them fresh will have a big effect on our attacking play.

The problem (as we all knew) was the defence, not just the back 4 or 5 but the dynamic of the team, and our ability to defend set-pieces. These are problems that have not been addressed, one player isn't going to solve all our problems but we need to bring in a leader at the back and get things organised, at the moment there seems to be no talking or shouting at one another, no-one is taking responsibility just having someone to do that would make a big difference. The 3 goals that we conceded today were all preventable and were the result of sloppy or naive defending.

We have just under 3 weeks until the window closes and we need to bring in more players, we didn't have a strong enough squad to cope last season and were found wanting - this season we currently don't have that much of a different squad and we potentially have a much more challenging season. I worry that the squad as it stands would struggle to make the top 4 again this season, unless we make a few more signings. I get that we don't want to settle and ideally we would go into the season with Keita and VVD, but if we can't make those deals happen bringing no-one in in those positions is effectively saying we are prepared to write this season off.

Lets hope that is the case because there are alot of things that need to be addressed there.

Having watched the goals on match of the day, it does seem very familiar. An imposing keeper really is one of the most important positions. It's shame we don't have one and a concern that klopp wasn't looking for one. At least we avoided defeat. Unbeaten so far.

One thing people seem to be overlooking is that our attacking players didn't kill the game off when they should have. If Wijnaldum or Salah finish any of their chances in the second half Watford don't come back.

On the other side of the coin, I thought it was promising how dangerous our front three looked without any of them having particularly good games. All got on the scoresheet and created opportunities from next to nothing and it bodes well for the rest of the season.

The problem with yesterday was blatantly clear and the clubs failure to address that problem has cost us points yet again. Hopefully someone will do what is needed in the next couple of weeks because they will lose the fanbase if we keep shipping soft goals.

Arnold was brilliant for me. The 2 centre halves were ****ing useless for half that match at least. When you know how bad we defend set pieces then you watch that first goal.... You have to start questioning Klopp not just the ****e players he puts on the pitch.

Since when has it been possible to defend a corner by not marking anyone and not JUMPING FOR THE ****ING BALL! flat footed always it's ****ing awful

Nobody is over looking it.... we all just realise that playing like Kevin Keegan Newcastle won't win you a ****ing thing. The try to score more than them approach is naive at best.

He was a darn sight better offensively than what Milner offered last season & slightly better than him defensively. He's not fashionable & I get that but he did pretty well yesterday considering how bad the 2 muppets inside him did.
