The amount of African fanboys that are threatening to unfollow the Club makes me laugh. Obviously never Liverpool fans in the first place. I honestly fail to see what the Club has done wrong in all this.

Ultimately, if he is serious about wanting to end his career here - which, unless I'm dreaming - he has said, then he will basically back down and accept his new situation. Unless Abbas has Mo' money in his eyes and manages to convince him otherwise.

I think this will whole thing will go away tbh.

I still believe he got a new contract so he couldn’t **** off for free. FSG know the Saudi’s are gagging to sign him. Salah thought he was playing FSG, however……….’nuff said

I'd prefer him in the middle as well with Wirtz behind him. On the left he used to work with a lot of good link up. But since every single right back we have has been broken he's had very little in terms of quality support and the balls he gets are usually far too late and useless.

But overall not an awful lot between them, just a tiny bit more end product from Gakpo on the G/A front.
Very interesting positioning for both. I think the parts where gakpo being in our penalty box is most likely during set pieces and corner defending. Salah never really was involved with that part since you sort of need someone to be forward for breaks. Gakpo being tall would work in those situations. He's no Nat philips but then again noone is. A once in a lifetime defender.

I’m not sure what to expect formation wise now as Slot said we will see a lot more of Ekitike and Isak strike duo in the future. It would be great to see those two with Wirtz behind regularly.

I’d like to see him up front with Ekitike, Wirtz as the 10. Looks like the diamond stays for now. Got to give it a go (shame the trial will last just one game) at least we’ve tried it and tried to fit him in the team.

Although not a long term option as think we want 2 wide players which is not suiting Salah right now.

Either way be interesting to see what happens and who the Jan window brings.

3rd option - power move by Slot, have him on the bench and then leave him there, with Chiesa coming on instead.

That chimes with my belief that we can only really afford to play one of either Gakpo or Salah at any one time. We need to give the oppos another type of problem to worry about on the other flank.
Having said that, the Inter game would suggest we'd be better still with neither playing!

Would be interesting to see Gakpos.
    It would be.

Was just looking at Gakpo's heat map on Opta and the same for Salah.

Think it is safe to say Gakpo moves around a LOT more
