Thanjk you.

I mean if a month is lost for Ramadan and another at the ACN, he should consider dropping his wage demands, imho.
We joke about his post Christmas drop off in previous seasons, but we really needed a performance today. If he want 3-400k a week, then we need more in these kind of games.

Give Suarez those chances and space that Mo got tonight and we don't lose...

So he has finished as joint 31st in the champions league scoring charts with 3 goals in 9 games. Still a few games to go, but Im not sure he is going to get the Balon D'or

No chance without doing it in the CL imo. He'll be one of the best players never to win it, or even to have made the top 3.

Age is more likely. He's obviously still very effective in the pl, he's using his brain more, running less, taking a lot of pens and getting a lot of service, but on the biggest stage against the highest quantity opposition, he was overshadowed. Too slow and wasteful to impose himself on the game like days of yore.
I know it's a minority view, but 400k a week for 3 years would be mental.
Perhaps this is his final season, or we can use the CL as a negotiation starting point to highlight that his form and fitness will never be as good as this season.
I'd still like to see him stay for another two seasons with a good winger coming in to learn from him - someone like Adeyemi or Doak if we think he's good enough to sub often.

If he stays then he needs to accept that he can't play every game. The manager needs to be able to replace him without fear of the fallout. He should accept a 2 year deal and be grateful.

I dont think anyone wants him to go, and he clearly has a lot to offer. But he hasnt accepted a contract, and his agent is known as being quite greedy.
We dont have unlimited funds. We made a 50m loss last year. Our champions league run has ended early, so we are not going to be rolling in cash. We have few assets taht will bring in big money. We will need to replace trent. We need a new Left and Right back. A backup centre back. Really need a backup to Grav.
Then we have a forward line that doesnt really gel no matter who we select., They all do their own thing, and are good at one thing, but dont really work as a unit. I think it will be a case of one in and one out as we make every penny count. But i dont think that allows silly money on Salah.

It’s a great point that we rely on him far too much. That can’t go on. Gakpo had been shouldering some of the workload but he’s been out for a few weeks. Then the midfield stepped up with goals. But in a game like tonight you need more than one threat (though Diaz did play quute well). As with a few other positions the succession planning is key, but we can’t afford to get rid of Salah imo yet. So hopefully a sensible contract that works for all parties can be landed upon.

I want him to go. All four of PSG’s wide men are more direct than him. This is swansong season, nice to go out on a high. Really appreciative of what he has achieved with us. In all fairness his time is up
I'd defo rather he stays, at least for another season, but it can't be on the basis that he's still the star man with the contract to go with it. He's only getting less useful from here and it needs to reflect that, and he needs to accept that. We need a new world beater.
