For all the gym work and the designer six pack, his legs just don't seem to cooperate as much as they used to.
Salah has been our main/only goal threat for so long that he became undropable and unsellable, but we now have other options of creativity and goal threat, so we are much less reliant on his abilities to carry the team.
We need to stop passing to him as the default option!
Im sure he will be sold at the end of the season as he won't like to see his own decline in our team. Its essential that will are also allowing our other major signings to show their true potential without always having to try and pass to mo when he is fumbling so often.

We've been hearing how he's past it every season since he's been 28. Even when he was younger, he was never on it in some peoples eyes, too greedy, not as good as Mane etc.

        When will people ever learn...

Yeah. Mo is a shot force. Mo is clumsy on the ball, Mo is past it. 35 games later he has put up another 20+ goal season along with plenty of assists.

I agree that we now need to be planning for the future without him, but you just know he is going to have yet another season where he outscores all the other wingers in the league.

Think Ekitike and Isak are going to take a lot of pressure off of Mo this season though.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

We just can't be having him play every minute. The squad is too good for that now.

He'll be rested for the League Cup. And if we make the knockout rounds of the CL with games to spare. But other than that I think he will play most games from the start, and may come off early if we are cruising to victory and he's already bagged a goal and assist.

It is comical. We shouldn't be reliant on him, we need other options. That's exactly what we do, add quality to the attack and change our system. It works, maximum points, top goal scorers and we've only needed Mo for one.

Pfffft, he's done, used to carry this team on his own. Sell.

It will be interesting to see how we manage his minutes.

With so many other changes in the squad, I can see why Slot would be reluctant to change another mainstay in our team, one so crucial to the success we had.

My guess is we'll flog him until AFCON, then manage his minutes carefully 2nd half of season.

Pace is dropping off every season, to the point now where he cant actually beat a fullback at all.

His passing has been poor too and lead to easy counterattacks multiple times.

(Wont happen) But when Frimpong is back, I'd like to see him given a go in Mo's spot and keep Dom in that Trent role at RB. Feel like Frimpongs pace out there could really unlock things for us, but still keep that right side tight defensively. Mo constantly pulls up and plays it back to midfield now because he cant get past a fullback.

At some stage we need to be less reliant on him, and the way it's started this season it needs to be happening sooner rather than later. Whether he'll tolerate being rotated is another matter....
You OK? you are normally so positive and rational when it comes to Salah

I wonder if part of the agreement with him was to sign for 2 years but be open for him to leave in the summer for a fee to Saudi....... he's not started well but he has 1G & 1A in three games

I would not be surprised at all if you’re right.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Said it last season when he signed for two years

We’re going to see the reverse Salah. Start the season slow but finish in style.
