Come on, that's a bit melodramatic.

Firstly, other than Konate and kerkes, nobody has been worse this season. And he won't defend. You can't "go back to basics" with him in the side. The idea to shift him to the middle and let him have a go a at being a CF might sound interesting as a theory, but it's not something you actually do, in actual games, at the expense of actual centre forwards. He's done at this level, and if anything, Slot left it far too long to make the call to drop him. If he's done it weeks ago things might not have got this bad for us.

But he isn’t the third highest scorer in the history of the club and a key figure in our most recent successes. Salah should not have spoken out but he said that the manager is not speaking to him. The guy is a legend and deserves respect while he feels he is not getting, for him to go to the press shows dysfunction.

Yes he’s been poor but change his role then, use him differently, he’s still technically superb and a brilliant finisher. Gakpo has been taken off but he starts game after game and mills so much of our play.

We are not going to agree here, Salah isn’t right here but he isn’t fully wrong and for me Slot needs to shoulder a lot if the blame as well

Senior players aren't saying things like this, only Mo Salah is about his own situation. He thinks he owns his position in the first team and that the idea of dropping him in favour of another option is scapegoating. It's one deranged ego dealing badly with playing like **** week after week. Sure, that's toxic, and it puts extra pressure on Slot because there's still no proof that life after Mo is going to go well, but if he goes and a replacement does the business, the squad and the fans etc will more on quickly imo.

You're not saying there is or isn't a split, but you're doing your best to rationalise one? Is that it? Here's my rationalisation of the situation: The vast majority of the dressing room will be delighted to see Salah go, and will have a non-stop 48 hour party to celebrate the departure of a dude that thinks he is way, way bigger than the Club.

Salah had a bust up with Klopp on the touch line, so he's not backward in coming forward and letting people know what he's about, which is HIM.

Clearly stuff isn't right in the dressing room or on the pitch at the moment, something like this comes out and it just makes you wonder what is going on.

No idea what people in the dressing room think of Mo's ego, but I suspect no-one/very few people will be happy to see him go, he will be a good friend to most and I suspect many will realise the contribution he made in getting them a PL winners medal last season. Even if those same people think his form has dropped this season and are frustrated with his lack of tracking back I suspect that at most they will feel torn about the situation.

If his relationship with the manager is broken beyond repair it looks like he will leave in January. While that might be the best for the team going forward the guy is a legend and it will be sad/difficult to see him leave in such circumstances.

Not saying there is or there isn't, we don't usually have this type of info being leaked from LFC, but we rarely (in recent years) have had good players who have had fall outs with the managers (there have been a few like Balotelli or Diouf who you suspect not many people would side with).

Salah has obviously been a big player for us in recent years and is popular in the dressing room and is one of the leadership group, the manager is relatively new, so I suspect there could be a difficult dynamic in there. Perhaps not so much people pushing that Salah should be in the side but perhaps split loyalties which wouldn't help.

IF there is a Salah faction, they can follow him out the door. But I'd say the chances of a faction lobbying for Salah are slim; just idle gossip from people posting bollocks for the sake of it.
