Nah just thinking we never look to bring in a young player to take over or anyone that can really cover the role even if he’s out it’s always just Salah and no one else. Chiesa was meant to be but he doesn’t even play in that role when he gets minutes.

Salah speaking out is bad, should have been dealt with in house. But i feel sad for him. Deffo think he deserves to start more than Gakpo but not both together.

This will split us and none of us know, our bias will tilt us one way or the other. The club has publicly imploded tonight and Salah has been the catalyst, that is bad. However, I think Slot should be doing more to get the best from him and sacrificing him when others are as bad if not worse is a bad look for me

For all his great goal contributions you must remember that salah is all about himself too, he has had previous where he has gobbed off in public, or had his agent drop stuff to the press...

Firstly, other than Konate and kerkes, nobody has been worse this season. And he won't defend. You can't "go back to basics" with him in the side. The idea to shift him to the middle and let him have a go a at being a CF might sound interesting as a theory, but it's not something you actually do, in actual games, at the expense of actual centre forwards. He's done at this level, and if anything, Slot left it far too long to make the call to drop him. If he's done it weeks ago things might not have got this bad for us.

Leaving out Hugo or Isak to accommodate Mr Respect-Is-Due would be utter madness, and a sackable offence.

Konate, Gakpo, Grav, Mac, Salah, Isak and Slot has been shocking at different stages. I think Kerkez who has been terribly utilised has actually done well.

Not getting respect, and felling that he's not getting respect are two different things. What does Slot have to do to "show respect"? Get on his hands and knees and beg Salah to please sit on the bench? It looks like the only respect Salah wants is to play every game.

Going to the press shows a gigantic ego, not dysfunction.

Yes he’s been poor but change his role then, use him differently, he’s still technically superb and a brilliant finisher. Gakpo has been taken off but he starts game after game and mills so much of our play.

We are not going to agree here, Salah isn’t right here but he isn’t fully wrong and for me Slot needs to shoulder a lot if the blame as well

Technically superb at what? Constantly losing the ball? Ballooning the ball over the bar or straight at blockers 2 inches away? Hitting simple passes straight to opponents? There is no doubt that his physical elements are on the wane, yet the technical aspects of his game, i.e. retaining possession, passing, shooting have been extremely poor. You can argue that Gakpo is just as ineffective, and it's persuasive, but in Gakpo's favour at least he can run about a bit.
