Yes, he may well be short of his blistering best in wider areas, it’s a definite possibility. In his current state, can he offer something better than we are being subjected to? That’s a definite possibility as well.

I was being somewhat facetious, but I don't think he is fit enough to play 90mins because he isn't getting enough game time, it's a vicious circle.Originally posted by memzey View PostHe is fit. And he does more in his 10 minutes than most do in 90.
For what it's worth I think Chiesa is a good player in the box but I am less convinced he is back to the level he was at a few years ago outside the box, and I think that is probably at least part of the reason he is only used from the bench

He looks a proper pro, he goes through really intense warm ups and seems to give everything on the pitch, which is something we could use at the moment.

Because he only ever plays 10 minutes, he needs more game time to get his fitness backOriginally posted by vlahka View PostHow is Chiesa still not fit. Surely when we did a medical on him we would have noticed he was absolutely broken forever.

Same answer i gave earlier about Gomez. I can understand the want for change but Chiesa isn't fit either. He's publicly declared he isn't fit enogh for a call up for Italy, so by extension, if he's not fit enough for Italy, then he sure as **** isn't fit enough for us.Originally posted by vlahka View PostI feel bad for Chiesa who just cant get a run in because of Salah and gakpo. You can see his frustration is maxed as everytime he comes on he instantly gives a bunch of rough fouls as hes trying to do something in the stupid time hes allowed on. He never used to be that rough and angry before. Probably a mix of not allowed to get any meaningful time on the pitch plus realisation that even if he does score he'll be on the bench again. Poor Endo looks deflated every time I see him on the bench. He deserves more.
They've apparently tried Gomez alongside Virgil in training but his knee blew up. In training. So fair to assume he couldn't do a full 90mins.

I like it, and when he comes back his belongings are packed up for him with a saudi flight tag on it.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostIf Klopp comes back, then I wouldn't be surprised if it happened when Mo is at Afcon.
Stevie wonder can see that Mo isn't tracking back. Defensively he is a liability. He is also finished in terms of beating a man in a wide position. It's actually sad at this stage that he is still trying it. With this in mind, I would put him as a center forward in a 442. Asking him to help in the wide areas from an attacking perspective or a defensive perspective is ****in pointless.
Shame it had to end this way.

Slot has no historic loyalty to Salah. He wasn't Slot's signing, he's not Dutch. Slot is a PL winning manager, by luck or otherwise. He's not that stupid that he can't see Salah needs dropping

I get the comparison you’re trying to make, but gravity and a secret Salah clause still aren’t in the same universe. Gravity has equations, experiments, and the whole “everything falls down” routine. Salah’s contract has… fan theories and a winger who currently looks like he’s running through porridge.
If that clause really existed, some journalist would’ve leaked it faster than Salah used to burst past a defender. And managers aren’t controlled by invisible forces of nature, unless you count the force that makes them pretend everything is fine in post-match interviews after a disaster.
So no, seeing him on the pitch every week doesn’t magically prove a clause exists. It just means form is temporary, decisions are complicated, and right now Salah is getting picked even though he’s moving like a pensioner.

Can you prove gravity really exists as we can't touch, see, smell, etc, it? No, the only way we know gravity exists is by witnessing the effects of it.Originally posted by kingfunk View PostI don’t believe that for a second. There has been no tangible evidence to back the claim up.
We will likely never get to see, touch, smell Salah's contact. But we know that stipulation of him playing 90 minutes every league game exists because of the effects we are clearly witnessing.
Hope that helps.
