James were too early for Britpop, I'd associate them more with Baggy / Madchester scene at the turn of 90s.

The Salah version of Sit Down is rubbish though, he doesn't really run down the wing and then we rhymed it with the Egyptian King. Also the chorus sounds more like one long Saalaaaaah in the stadium when sung rather than Sa-lah, Sa-lah, Sa-laaaah. Much prefer the Sugar, Sugar one.
