Just catching up on some news and can't believe there was genuine talk of Salah getting suspended for simulation.

F*ck me, how many times have you heard during a match that Salah is too honest and should have went down, not to mention he probably still has the scars from Everton when he stayed on his feet, yet his foot is clipped and he's pulled back and cunts like Mark Halsey are saying he should get a retrospective ban.

It was clearly a foul, and a penalty was the correct decision. Was also the kind of foul in the box that isn't always given, so I guess Salah was forcing the ref to make a decision. But in doing so he definitely dived
Don't think it counts as simulation as he didn't pretend to be fouled, and the ref could and should have called it whether he went down or not. When Real Madrid players think they've been fouled they stop, throw their hands out and demand the ref gives the free kick, I don't think Salah was doing much different, ie was fouled and wasn't going to try to play on to let the ref fudge the decision.

There was contact and he went down. I dont recall seeing him asking for a pelanty like most do, it was not like he was pressuring the ref. Also, the ref had a clear view of the incident

Presumably because there was some contact? I assume the FA investigate cases where a player goes down and there is no contact. If they start investigating incidents where there is contact and try to determine how much contact is enough the whole thing becomes a cluster****
