Thing is, Salah never talks or very rarely talks to the press.

I'mOn the captaincy, would imagine Klopp sees trent as potential long term sucessor to Hendo. Makes sense to give him the nod.
On selling Salah, I believe those suggestions that we could sell him next year. Unless there is something I don't know... It seems our business model requires that we maximise resale value for crown jewel players. Selling Salah would fund the next one, whoever that maybabe be

We've been top of the league or swapping blows with City for top spot for the best part of three years and I haven't seen too many articles of this nature in that time.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostLiverpool go top of the league this week and are in good form, and suddenly there are "stories" in the media about how a top player wants out.
Got to love when a band cranks out the greatest hits year after year.
Looking forward to when we make a final this year or are ahead in the run in for the title so I can hear all the hits again.
I reckon it'll blow over, but it's an irritating distraction.Oh I don't know.

Very disappointing that he purposely chose to do it now, in the middle of a tricky season. Anyway if we HAD to sell one of our front three, I’d choose him, although arguably the best, I also feel he is the most destructive to team cohesion, and if it means signing Mbappe....Originally posted by Mr Pink View PostAnd?

Usually his agent Ramy Abbas comes out and says its bollocks, however this time he hasn't, might be some truth in it.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI make no apologies, this is me

Yeah, Salah is on 13 goals in 13 games this season. That is incredible. I think he carries us through the tough periods more than people realise. His desire for goals helps us no end.Originally posted by Rich View PostIt is ridiculous but the only way that Mbappe comes in is if Salah or Mane goes for mega-money.
Personally, I'd stick with Salah.
Bit of a weird one all this coming from nowhere. There was nothing in his demeanour that suggested any issues on Saturday. It feels like a press created storm.
Whatever happens, if he leaves, then I imagine either Sancho or Mbappe or Halaand are lined up. I trust the club to get this one right.Modifying post.

Spurs game too. I thought he had his best for us in ages. He really put a shift in and led from the front.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostYeah, Salah is on 13 goals in 13 games this season. Maybe he's in "super-motivated, wants to prove a point" mode.
Re the storm, let's be honest, Salah created it himself. Anything that you say to the media that contains the slightest bit of controversy will run and and run and run. That's the way it is. The players know they are playing by those rules.Oh I don't know.

I’d hate to see Salah go, but the fact is the front 3 will all be 29 by the end of this season. Replacing them is likely to be funded by selling at least one or 2 of them at the right time. I’d say Salah and Mane have at least a couple more years at something like their current level, but we can’t wait until they all need replacing at once.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostHow would people feel about Salah out and Mbappe in?
I’d love to see them all see their remaining best years with us and for Mo to smash more records and trophies and firmly establish himself as possibly our greatest ever player.
But something like the above would be great business..
