At the moment Salah is at a higher level than Mbappe, so short term it would be a downgrade. Also don't know how well he would fit into the system, does he have the work rate we require of our players? He is undoubtedly a quality player and will improve. I haven't seen huge amount of him but when I have seen him he hasn't been as impressive as people would have you believe, so I'm yet to be convinced he is the player he is made out to be

Mbappe won’t be ‘free’ though - between signing on fee, wages and agent fee that’s your £150m gone. I also think that would throw the harmony of the squad out with the wage imbalance + Mbappe appears to be a little diva so good as he is I’m not sure I’d want him
