It’s a difficult situation but what a ****ing drop in quality that would be.

Makes me laugh Bowen gets written off but people get excited by the likes of Raphina or Antony.
Pretty much every player out there is going to be a drop on Salah.
Plenty experts on here thought Mane was going to be a drop in quality too when we signed him and more than a few thought Salah was a guy who could score 14 or 15 goals in a weaker league but would get less in the PL.
Not a chance in hell Klopp is sitting in Kirkby trying to figure out which player out there could match Salah's figures. He will be, imo, trying to figure out what group of players could collectively make us as effective as when we had Salah, Firmino and Mane firing on all guns.
Someone like Bowen would not have to come in and match Salah, he or whomever comes in would just have to be the right fit for how we are setting up.
Our 20 goal in the league man might be our new central striker with the wingers becoming 12 to 15 goal men.
If people are expecting an obvious like for like for Salah to be found, then they are better off sticking to Football Manager and avoiding the real world.
Also makes me laugh that people are so binary in their pov that they think mentioning a player means the person who mentioned the player is thick enough to think the player they suggest is a like for like.
What I said about replacing Salah was
Bowen for me is a good player who has very good underlying stats, far superior to those of Diaz (who got his stats in a much weaker league) and on par with those of both Salah and Mane during their final seasons at their previous clubs. So he looks a player that might have a further jump in quality in him.Maybe we get lucky and find a player that gives us 75% or better of what Salah gives us in G+A every season. Maybe we find two players who between them replace Salah's G+A output.
That is not saying he is the next Salah, but it is me saying that he might, just might with the right coaching, attitude and superior players around him, be a player that could give us 75% of Salahs G+A output or that he may be a player that along with other incoming players replicates what we lost between them and does his bit towards keeping up a top team.
You could replace Bowen's name with any other player that looks like he is ready to make the jump up.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I'm torn on that point tbh.
The guys seems a physical freak to me and the fact he just had his second most productive season for us tends to suggest he may not be in decline and instead may just be at the stage where he is plateauing albeit at a very very high level.
My own feeling is that Salah has maybe two or three seasons left where he still produces elite numbers in any major league along with in the CL and then his numbers may drop to being those of a "good" player.
It would not shock me to see him change his game in three or four years and become a more centrally based player be it a CF or a ST and just bang in the goals as an out and out attacker not too dissimilar to Ronaldo at Man U in being just an attacking threat.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Getting rid of a player who has consistently scored so many would be madness, unless he intends to go on a free if his contract demands aren’t met.
Is not really a case of getting rid if the player has decided he is leaving.
Becomes then a case of whether he goes for nowt in 12 months or whether the player fancies moving on a bit earlier if a club he is interested in going to decides they want him in sooner rather han later.
The fact he is one of the best in the world remains the same regardless.
Personally I am now resigned to the fact he is leaving, but also happy that I got to see five seasons of ( maybe six if he leaves next summer) the best right sided winger I have ever seen play for Liverpool.
He is as unmatched on our right flank as John Barnes is for me in the history of players on our left.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
