If Salah needs the rest of the team to serve up opportunities on a silver platter why did we capitulate to his his financial demands? Why not employ a moderately competent professional footballer for a fraction of the cost and spoon-feed him with easy chances?

Are you implying that Klopp would have wasted the "megabucks" on players that would have had a negligible positive impact on the team and its fortunes?

Because Salah had shown himself to be, prior to this season, a world class finisher and nowhere near being a moderately competent footballer?


Probably the same reasons why City bought Haaland and put him on bat **** crazy wages.


Plus how much the club pay Salah is not on Salah. He can ask for as much as he wants, it is then up to the club through guidance from the manager if Salah is worth, in their eyes, paying those wages to.
